How does it compare to other Netflix-produced shows from around the same time (2016-2018)? Not well, as far as I can tell. House of Cards (Season 5): 9.2m Big Mouth (Season 1): 13.9m Making a Murderer (Part 2): 4.7m The Crowd (Season 2): 33.3m

damn House of Cards still gets that many views? That was one of the worst investments in a TV show I had ever experienced.

It's non relevant data IMO.

No, I don't think they did. But I don't know what else to compare it to. I tried looking up Netflix's original programming, but apparently they didn't have any comedies before 2019.

I wouldn't say it's irrelevant. They may not have expected it to do that well, but those are numbers that if it had hit, it would probably still be on there...maybe--Joel's money mismanagement might have trumped other factors.
To make the numbers more relevant, we would probably need to see budgets, and we don't really know any of those budgets, even MST3K, because we don't know how much extra money Netflix actually put into MST3K after picking it up, we're just pretty sure it's more than zero.
