I toyed with starting its own thread for this, but I’m too humble. Mary Jo Pehl, Chris Gersbeck, myself and a few others (including a MST3K alum I won’t name now so I don’t jinx things) are doing a dramatic reading of Phone Trouble, a one-act play I wrote about my phone being stolen by a crazy person earlier this year. facebook.com/events/s/the-mary-jo-pehl-show-presents/975595470228957/

I’m going to jinx things. Frank Conniff and Mary Jo Pehl are both a part of Tuesday’s reading. I’m conflicted, because I wish my phone hadn’t been stolen. But two of my comedy heroes are acting in something I wrote because it was.

Will it be narrated in a Jack Webb style?

I tried for at least a Jack Webb tone, but I’m not much of an impressionist.
The show was a real thrill, even though my internet kicked me out of the reading mid show and Mary Jo had to pick up some of my narration parts.

I was in and out, so I missed some of the dramatic reenactment, but that guy who stole your phone sounds like a certifiable nutjob head case.
Wait. Make that an ALLEGED certifiable nutjob head case. Innocent until proven incredibly guilty, and all that.

So, re: tonight's "Movie Jo Night", who else saw "Bad Ronald" back when it was first broadcast?

I almost feel like I'm the only one who thought "Scream of the Wolf" was OK.

OK, I was truly surprised by two things in "Trapped". First, that Earl Holliman's character of the new husband wasn't portrayed as a total jerk, but was actually a smart and fairly decent guy. And second, Brolin & the ex didn't reconcile at the end. Both of these were major departures from the norm. I actually thought it was a pretty good movie.

For those who watched "Death Sentence", did that last scene in the bedroom give anyone else "Padme meets Ani on Mustafar" vibes? I agree with MJ & Chris that this was a good one, with a pre-"Rich Man, Poor Man" Nick Nolte giving a good, low key performance.

Anyone else catch "Killer Bees"? I was surprised by the ending on that one. Yes, it was the 70s and it seemed like every horror/sci-fi movie ended on a downbeat note, but I wouldn't have thought a TV movie would've gone that route.
