One of my favorite parts of the show are when the guys react in terror or shock at a sudden jump-cut, noise or unflattering close-up on the screen. The funniest out of many has to be in the "What About Juvenile Delinquency?" short when the camera cuts to a very scary extreme close-up of the face of one of the dorky delinquent's debate-team friends. Crow screams in terror, Servo yells "No! Mommy! Avert your eyes!" and Mike puts his hands to his face and cries! And, in "Werewolf", when they react to the odd "honking champagne bottle". Oh yes, and I love the "blink-and-you'll-miss" riffs where it will suddenly cut to someone or something for a split second, and one of the gang will fire off something completely non-sensical. The "Puffy hat police!" line from Future War ALWAYS makes me laugh until it hurts.

Another favorite riff of mine is in "The Wild-Wild World of Batwoman" where, at the end of the movie, Servo yells: "End! END!"

Ws it Future War when the cop has the case taken away from him by a bigger agency, and one of them has the cop say...
"But my puffy hair!"
It's so nonsensical, what the hell does puffy hair have to do with losing a case? It's a riff that makes no sense and is silly as all get out but it's also sooo funny.

LOL! That's one of my favorite riffs. I couldn't stop laughing at the part at the end where the Fat Man fights Fingal in some stare down or something. His face lights up like he's about to explode or something, and Mike says "Oh, it's the big one!". That reminds me, fat jokes make me laugh alot also.

While rewatching Overdrawn tonight, I was on the floor laughing at the British exchange at the beginning. Crow's riffing with a Brit accent was great. I recall another movie where they did extended riffing with that accent and jargon. The Deadly Bees, maybe?
Anyway, love the British riffing. And the Monty Python references. "Number 3, the larch."

I LOVE, LOVE, LOVE the jump cut riffs. They're my favorite since they come out of nowhere. My favorites are from Pod People, where there is a jump cut to that Greg Brady lookalike and his band and Joel & the bots scream in terror. And I love in Kitten With A Whip where Salty Sam shows up on the t.v. behind Ann-Magaret, and Mike & The Bots let out a scream. Or in Mr. B Natural during the numerous jump cuts of Mr. B in the opening scene.
I also LOVE when there is an extreme close up of a character, and they scream like the character is going to eat them. I just LOVE that. Like in Body Care & Grooming, where there is a closeup of a mouth and Joel & the bots scream in terror. Or in Alien From L.A., where there is an closeup of the hero from the film and they all cower in terror.
I also love it when they repeately say the same ridiclous dialogue found in the film like "Rowsdower!" or "Nespa!" or "I'M COMMINNGGG!!!"
I love those.

My favorite joke that they make in the Theater is "Kill them" often "him" is substituted for "them".

Well, my other obsession is The Beatles, so Beatle jokes (no matter how pointless or random) are my favourites. I also like when they make a joke that refers to a previous episode, like in the "Appreciating Our Parents" short when she takes the chicken/turkey out of the oven and Crow says "Trumpy!" Heh, I love that one...

I LOOOOVE he Beatles!! So I hear you on that one. I been recently thinking they did one with a "Day in the Life" (He blew his mind out in a car) but for the life of me I can't remember the episode and now I'm starting to think perhaps my mind was playing tricks on me.

I'm a big fan of the musical references. It just kills to hear a Zappa reference or a Pink Floyd reference, especially when you're not really expecting it.

I know the general consensus here is that "Alien From LA" stinks. But it earnsa few points from me because of the musical references they threw into that one. "Paul Westerberg to the rescue!" - Mike I know they sang a line from a Blondie song and referred to Devo... I think there might be a Beatles riff in there as well.

Yeah, I don't know why everyone hates that episode. It does have a Beatles reference as Crow quotes "Day in the Life" at some point and I also distinctly remember Mike saying "Look, it's the band Rush!" at some point too.
