I taught Phantom a new word. Acronym actually. But thanks. I have learned more from Torgo than The Master.

Hmm, what slang did they use back then to illustrate laughter. "For verily, I shant chortled to such extremes. If I had thusly, mine bottom area would hath fallen away and I wouldst roll upon thine floor as if I were beset by old scratch himself!" That was the funnier thing I've read in a long time. I love the term old scratch but never really get to use it, you know? John

I think The Rebel Set is very underrated.Especially the Priest chase scene.

Brute Man is actually not a terrible film as is!
Riffing is great.
But some of the funniest riffing I have EVER heard was in LASTERBLAST which I just saw for the first time.
I was in pain.

Most all of us have seen the "great" episodes - Mitchell, Manos, the Rhinos, Cave Dwellers, and many in the Sci- Fi Channel era and Rhino releases. But which experiment grabs you that isn't as widely recognized as being "classic"? In my case, there are two in this category: Code Name: Diamondhead and Village of the Giants. The movies are really goofy (enjoyably so), and the riffing in on-target. CND is some kind of TV pilot that didn't make it to syndication - kind of a "Hawaii Five-0" rip-off with some of the same local actors. There is a bulbous actor named Zulu who plays the sidekick. About half-way in he sings a goofy island song, to which Crow replies "he's singing about how much he hates Jack Lord". I can't see straight every time I see this. "Village of the Giants" is a Bert I. Gordon pain-tacular starring Beau Bridges and Ron Howard. It's a very dated comedic take on "Food of the Gods", with muyh intentional and unintentional humor. There's a scene in a nightclub in which an American rock band does its best to imitate the look and sound of the Beatles - it's hilarious. I'd have to agree with you Alleged that Village of the Giants is a great episode. I'd put it at the top of my list as my favorite of all. "It's the Beau Bridges Brummells" - Crow

Village Of The Giants is truly a non-stop laugh-riot. I especially love the frequent Jim Begg references in the second half. Another episode that definately needs more props is The Dead Talk Back. The film is almost Manos-esque in terms of badness, but the riffing is gut-bustingly funny, especially when they mock Harry Trasker, the goofy-looking silly-voiced bearded guy who claims to indeed talk to the dead. And, the scene where the detective chases the Arnold Stang-like geeky guy down the street is possibly the funniest moment in any MSTied film there is: CROW: Must...get to...Bargin Clown! MIKE: The Loneliness Of The Long Distance Dweeb!

I personally liked City Limits. That's one episode I hardly see on anyone's favorite list and from what I've seen it gets a bad rap. Another one I like that I hardly see talked about is Parts the Clonus Horror.

Agreed on "City Limits" and "Parts" as underrated episodes. "Parts" is especially high on my list as it was filmed at one of my alma maters - Moorpark College. It's the location for the clones' isolated "home", where the clones run and exercise and race golf carts.

I don't think of this episode as underrated, but I do think it's underappriciated by MSTies: 210 - King Dinosaur The riffing is pretty damn funny, and, hey, Bert I. doesn't skip on the 'ol special effects --LordKaT
