With all the discussion on how MST3K wouldn't fit in with the rest of TV because it's too high brow and most of America wouldn't get it, what do you think is a really good episode but has the least amount of Esoteric references (remember it's esoteric to Joe Blow not the average MST3K fan)?
I think probably Santa Claus Conquers the Martians is the best episode for regular people to get. It has a lot of Christmas riffs, and the host segments are pretty easy to follow too.
I haven't seen that many episodes so maybe someone else can think of a better one.

I would say Agent For HARM, since they pretty much just say "One of those!" or "He has a girdle on", yet it is one of the best episodes in season 8.

I showed two of my friends who hardly watch the show Future War. The laughing never stopped til the episode ended.

I don't think there was a dumb episode! Every show is filled with both escoteric and sophomoric humor. That is why the show is so brilliant.
But if you mean "A great conversion show for the unwashed masses" (I am being tongue-in-cheeky snobbish) then I agree, SANTA CLAUS CONQUERS THE MARTIANS or any of the Godzilla/Gamera films would be great.
