According to NBC's official website, their schedule lists the late night NBC Saturday Night Live airing 1:01AM EST in the morning being the February 18, 1984 hosted by Jamie Lee Curtis, musical guest The Fixx with a special guest appearance by JOEL HODGSON. Also these episodes are shown full so Joel’s act WILL NOT BE CUT.
Within 24 hours we’ll see the end of MST3K on TV and the first cast members first live television appearance. Kind of odd huh.

Hey, I think that's great. Maybe the small amount of Joel exposure will lead to the betterment of our quest for more MST3K.
It is a weird coincidence though,

I have both of Joel's SNL performances on tape and would say he was quite funny doing stand-up. The tape also includes his Letterman appearances and a few others. Will have to set the DVR for Saturday to record him now. Certainly will look much better than higher generation VHS! |
