Here's another episode that doesn't rate highly for some of you. Personally I love it. Besides the abundant babeage, it's got all those incredibely cheesey songs and such a dumb confusing plot that it's just a fun ep. And a very stoned looking Little Richard is an added bonus. Plus, Joel's rant about the 60s is a non stop laugh fest for me. Maybe it helps if you're close to Joel's age. I also love how Joel flips out while trying to explain the plot in the last host seg. All in all, it's an ep I can enjoy pretty well any time.

I Love it. i think its a classic, top 15 episode.
This really is the first episode that is a classic and really shows how good the show can be. cant get enough of the bubble headed beach comedy teen movies.

The verdict is still undecided for me on this one. I've only seen it a few times, but it seems like a fun episode. When I've seen it a few more times, I can make a more informed decision.

I'm a big fan. Partly b/c the movie is just so ultra-cheese, but more intentionally so. It's fun to watch them make fun of a bad comedy. It gives a different feel to the riffing than just making fun of a bad movie since now they get to make fun of something that tries to make fun of itself, but doesn't do that great a job.
And I have to admit that I just enjoy watching the girls dance during Little Richard's song. I probably enjoy it too much.

I don't laugh very much at all at this one. So no, it's not a personal favorite.

This MST show was pretty funny at times, but, MAN!.....Why did Joel and the 'bots make so many negative "white people" jokes?

I like this ep a lot esp. for the movie, but it rates only about B+ for me. A Good solid ep. I have to add that it also has one the sexiest best dancers I've ever seen. In the Little Richard sequence she's in purple, I believe above, on the second deck on his left. See, I remember. she must be hot.

There are a lot of references to hot women when discussing this episode, and they're well founded, but personally I found the riffing to be pretty tame, which is more important to me than the eye candy in the movie. Bottom line (no bun i mean pun int-end-ed) this one didn't make me laugh much. Neither did my puns, though, to be fair. So who am I to judge?

I couldn't get into this one either. I only laugh once during the whole movie..."Hey look, I'm 60!"

My opinion of this episode depends on the mood that I'm in. There are times when I'm in the mood for something incredibly stupid and light-hearted, and then this one's a fun laugh.
But other times I just can't watch it.

Pretty dissapointed at first but then again like almost all the episodes, I became familiar with the movie and really started to enjoy it. It's not all that funny of an ep but it is definately fun. And I really love the animated opening credits which seemed to be inspired by the Clouseau movies.

I've always enjoyed this episode. I get some laughs at the riffing and the 60's host segment is great.
I also have to admit to liking this because of the eye candy as well.
Saaaaay!

Another great movie from the vaults of ultimate whiteness. This is a movie that depicted what white parents thought their teenagers should look and act like. Nobody in real life looked and acted like this in the mid 60's. It is a pathetic and sad little fantasy for anxious parents, divorced from all reality. Nobody is alienated, nobody is into the Beatles, nobody is taking drugs or drinking because of the mess everything was becoming. You'll also notice there is no generation gap in this film. What a joke. Parents and teenagers were becoming increasingly hostile to one another if they spoke at all. Watching this film must have caused a lot of laughter from its intended audience, but for all the wrong reasons. Therefore it is a GREAT Episode in my opinion. One of the best of season 2. The host segments are dead on terrific. I watch this one at least once every three months and it always makes me smile.

The episode is pretty good, but makes it just above the mediocre mark. It's palletable but not the best.

Maybe I am just not old enough to appreciate this episode, but I did like what Joel had to say, "No, Joel you can't go to Woodstock, you're only 9 years old!"
