I maintain a MST3K Availability Spreadsheet for some casual-fan friends. I have not updated it since January 6, but at that time, the Shout! Factory TV information was correct. I'm unable to do a thorough check of Shout! TV right now to see if any new titles have added or old ones removed, so consider that when looking at the following lists. On Shout! TV (as of 1/6/2021), not available in the "Ultimate Digital Collection": 204 Catalina Caper 304 Gamera vs. Barugon 316 Gamera vs. Zigra 322 Master Ninja I 324 Master Ninja II 513 The Brain That Wouldn't Die (!!) 603 The Dead Talk Back 609 The Skydivers 622 Angels Revenge 816 Prince of Space 822 Overdrawn at the Memory Bank 913 The Quest of the Delta Knights (Are they offering this separately?) Not on Shout! TV (as of 1/6/2021), but available in the "Ultimate Digital Collection": 307 Daddy-O 313 Earth vs. the Spider 315 Teenage Caveman 505 The Magic Voyage of Sinbad 514 Teen-Age Strangler 516 Alien from LA 602 Invasion USA 618 High School Big Shot 623 The Amazing Transparent Man 806 The Undead 808 The She-Creature 817 The Horror of Party Beach 1007 Track of the Moon Beast Sorry, didn't see jadenh's post before submitting mine.

Yeah, Delta Knights was added as a bonus reward for people pledging 150 and up, I think?

Sorry, didn't see jadenh's post before submitting mine. Nah, it's no big deal. I'm actually glad you posted because there are some episodes there that I missed. Also, that availability spreadsheet looks pretty cool. I would imagine that it's still up to date, since I believe the Gameras were the last episodes to be added to ShoutFactoryTV.

So what updates do we have here? We are all to familiar with the status/situations with Wade, Toho, and Susan Hart, but the Olive collection and Delta Knights showed a promise and would make for a nice 4 set release:
416 - Fire Maidens from Outer Space 905 - The Deadly Bees 906 - The Space Children 913 - Quest of the Delta Knights
Olive films are the wildcard, as stated in this thread: [Olive Films (licensed from Paramount)]: I've heard from different sources that Olive has 5-year deals with Paramount on their catalog titles (for example, THE DEADLY BEES is set to expire in 2020). The other two titles should be expiring soon or have already expired., which should be expired or expiring soon. Assuming Olive films doesn't renew their license with Paramount, this would clear the way for Shout Factory to obtain them.
Do we ave any updates about Olive? From the sounds of it, the rights have expired from the original contract by now. Did Paramount renew their lease on their rights, or is there an opportunity for Shout to make something happen?
I feel like with all the hubub about the revival revival that this has kinda fallen by the wayside. If this can get done, that drops the 'forbidden' list down to 7.
Also, can someone seriously talk to Susan Hart again and see if she's had a potential change of.....heart and might be more willing to work with Shout if it meant a multi film deal and proper re-release treatment of the original films in addition to the MST3K's version? Seems like a win-win.

Incidentally, while WW's stance on R-XM on MST3K probably hasn't changed, he's recently licensed some of his movies for Blu-ray release. That's a promising sign, although again, it probably means nothing for the release of episode 201.

I was under the impression he thought that movie was as much of a sacred cow as Rocketship XM.

I believe he owns the rights to several MST3K films in fact. It's the attachment he has to R-XM that is preventing him from licensing it. I think it's pretty safe to say his stance won't change during his lifetime.

He's still pretty protective of his other films though, as he kept taking down YouTube uploads of the MST3K versions. Hell, he even took down the copies on archive.org. I don't know if he's slowed down now, but it was definitely enough to make some of the Wade Williams episodes hard to find online.

He licensed his other films to MST but most of his "collection" (which he originally licensed for DVD to Image around 2000) has been out of print for years. That he got a few of these out on Blu-ray in the past year (and HD masters of others on TV) is a big deal, just not necessarily for MST3K. That's all I was trying to say.

Seems like a win-win. You'd think so, but (at least as this thread reported over the years) WW and Hart have been given Godfather offers by Shout to give the respective films TLC on top of licensing the MST3k episodes and they've both said no.

Seems like a win-win. That door is firmly closed until she goes to that big B-Movie in the sky. Closed-closed. Talking didn't work. Backing up dump trucks of money didn't work. Legal maneuvering didn't work. The one constant over the last 20+ years is she's 100% unreasonable, irrational and impossible to negotiate with. But there's one person she won't be able to out-maneuver for too much longer, and he wears all black. She's 80 this year. Do the math.

Yeah, Shout has basically given up with Susan at this point. We’re going to have to wait till she passes on….. and for all we know, she could make it to 90 at this point.

Not on Shout! TV (as of 1/6/2021), but available in the "Ultimate Digital Collection": 307 Daddy-O 313 Earth vs. the Spider 315 Teenage Caveman 505 The Magic Voyage of Sinbad 514 Teen-Age Strangler 516 Alien from LA 602 Invasion USA 618 High School Big Shot 623 The Amazing Transparent Man 806 The Undead 808 The She-Creature 817 The Horror of Party Beach 1007 Track of the Moon Beast I should note that all of these are now on ShoutTV, Twitch, and other channels save for one: 516 Alien from LA. I went through and determined who owns what in terms of what's available for streaming. For what doesn't stream, this is what I discovered: - The biggest non-streaming culprits are episodes licensed from Paramount (2 current, 3 potential), Columbia Pictures (3), and Universal (9 and the Movie).
- All episodes licensed from MGM are on the stream but five: Alien from LA, Incredible Melting Man, Riding with Death, It Lives By Night, and Squirm. Alien from LA is the only one of those included in the Kickstarter digital pack.
- All AMC Networks licensed eps are on stream but one: Viking Women and the Sea Serpent.
- All episodes without copyright info on the DVDs (presumably public domain) are on the stream but two: Stranded in Space and Colossus and the Headhunters.

Good working organizing that info! "Alien from LA" (the MST episode, that is) is available for free on YouTube at least. "Viking Women" is also available there as a rental/purchase (ditto MST3K:TM). I couldn't find all of the films there-listed on streaming services (via JustWatch), but Paramount+ has the original non-MST versions of "Incredible Melting Man" and "It Lives by Night" (as "The Bat People") while "Squirm" and "Viking Women" are on Prime Video (the latter film through Prime's AMC+ channel) and tubi. Shout! TV surprisingly also has the unriffed version of "Viking Women." The good news from that: streaming rights for those films don't seem to be a problem*, but it still remains unclear why those aren't available for streaming as MST3K episodes. Perhaps some sort of very strict exclusivity window? *I have cable TV through YouTube TV and it's surprising to me how many, and often which, movies are blacked out online because of some undisclosed streaming rights obstacle. It appears to happen most frequently on TCM (although honestly I'm not watching many other movie stations), even with movies that are ostensibly owned by Turner/WarnerMedia. While I can't explain why that is, it's taught me that obvious ownership of TV and video rights don't always translate to streaming rights. That's something to keep in mind with some of the MST'd films which currently aren't streaming. By the way, I don't have the volume with "Riding with Death" -- does the box say that was licensed from MGM? That's a Universal TV production so I'd be surprised if it wasn't licensed from Universal.
