For our next trick we're going to try and pull a rabbit out of the hat ... that is, we're up for making a new fanvid, however, this time it's going to be a bit more special ... We're still hoping to receive a short film another source, but as a back up, I've written a completely new script that will have to be filmed and edited and scored, etc.
You see, at Moonbase Nine, the guys aren't forced to watch bad movies, so the movies can be good as well as bad. That's a huge departure from the way the people at MST3K did things. But, who's to say what is good? Sometimes that's a matter of opinion.
Should it come down to shooting a new movie in order to riff it, I'll keep you guys informed as to how things are moving along in the production. Right now, the Host Segments are more or less written, two new songs are written, Phil Dejean is creating a NEW Fanghorn puppet, we're coming up with ideas for a totally new opening title sequence, the backup script is written, and, well, you get the idea ...
If this project happens, it will be the first movie made with shadowrama specifically in mind. Now that's what I call an experiment!
Happy Holidays everyone from all of us at Moonbase Nine!

The Latest Comment on MB9: Thieves' Blood.
"It's very funny. There's nothing like it."

The script for MB9 Thieves Blood will soon be available on the MST3KFANVIDS site. It's an early incomplete draft (which should take you less time to read as a matter of fact.) Look in the scriptory section of the site. I'll see what I can do about adding the Episode One script.

fanvid showing Keep checking in now and then. I'll post the www.mnn.org date/time/channel for the premiere broadcast of Moonbase Nine: Episode Two: Thieves' Blood: The New Edition. This episode contains violence and language and is not suitable for the young. Also, the quality of the image may vary according to whether you have dial-up or DSL. Stay tuned.

If you're planning on watching the show on www.mnn.org you're going to be needing Windows Media Player 9 which is a free download. The streamed video can be seen best using broadband. Under dial-up it will mostly pause and stutter. The show, having violent content, will only be aired at nighttime.

A note about the upcoming broadcast. Since the sound levels of the show are a bit uneven, play it loud, or rather, use a pair of headphones. Don't blast anyone out of their beds, please. There will be times when Commander Phil's dialogue will be hard to hear. There is no problem with your computer and no way to fix the video recording, this is just the way the show turned out. Even so, the show is still quite enjoyable.
The show needs to first be delivered to the public access station, then when the Network notifies us concerning the dates, times, and channels, we will post it here. The fanvid will only be broadcast three times, that is, we will only be notified of three actual air-dates. There's a chance that it will be broadcast more times than these, but, we would not be notified of those extra broadcasts. Don't ask, I didn't make the rules. This happens when a different show fails to turn in a tape for broadcast and they need something to fill in the time.
Again, it will only be broadcast at night being that the show contains language and violence. This is not your typical MST3K-like children's show. Far from it. So keep this in mind. The airing could happen anytime in January or February so keep checking in every now and then to get the info. If you miss these broadcasts you probably won't get a chance to see the show for a very long time if ever, so stay on your toes.

The mini-DV tape for MB9:TB:TNE has been delivered to the Network. Now the rest is up to them. They will contact me sometime in January as to what the air-dates are for the show. I have no control over what they do. All I know is that the show will air aired only after 11:00 p.m., New York time. I asked for Friday, Saturday, and Sunday night timeslots but that doesn't mean I'll get them. Btw, the version that will be broadcast will not contain the final excerpt (clip) from the movie, but, the rest will be there.
The NEW Fanghorn Puppet has been completed.

After a very long time, I finally found out who most of the actors are in Thieves' Blood ... Some I knew, but, others I did not ...
Gantry ... Scott Sliger Devon ... Steve Harrigan Sawyer ... Dan Barion Marconi ... Kevin Rapp
As for the driver in the green car, that still remains a mystery. I think it was one of Kevin's friends.

We're still waiting to hear from the network as to when the show is going to be broadcast. We should hear sometime soon.
In the meantime for our next show we plan to riff on some animated short movies. We hope our third episode goes well.

The broadcast dates for "MB9: Thieves' Blood" are here ... Check out www.mnn.org ... New York Time ... Wednesday night/Thursday morning, February 9th, 12 a.m. Channel 56. Thursday, February 24th, 11:30 p.m. Channel 56. Sunday, March 5th, 11:30 p.m. Channel 34. Check with the MNN website and download anything needed to view the show. Remember, there could be any kind of problems on their end that could prevent the broadcast from going through. In that event they'll probably add a new broadcast date to the scedule. If you miss these three broadcasts you'll not be able to see this show for a very long time to come. The show is about a half-hour and you'll need high speed internet to be able to see it properly. Good luck.
