...looking through the DVD's. I walk over to the bargin shelf in case they acctually had something worth buying in it. Then something catches my eye. Accross the side of one of the cases I see the name Phantom Planet. I then pulled it out, and sure enough, it was the Phantom Planet. So I said to myself "hell yeah, I'm buying this!"
So I figured I better keep looking incase there were more unMSTied versions movies that appeared on the show. Then much to my delight, I came accross The Beast of Yucca Flats! I was pretty pleased with my findings at that point. Then I came accross one that really took me by suprise. Manos!
Finding these were pretty cool and all, but I wasn't too suprised because I knew Alpha had released quite a few films done on MST. It was after that though, that I found an MSTied movie that wasn't released by Alpha. Mitchell! And it was only $4.99. This has to be pretty rare I'm sure.
There were a few others I ran accross, but didn't buy: The Painted Hills Hurculies Unchained Gamera The Brain that Wouldn't Die
And for those of you who didn't know. The Beast of Yucca Flats has nudity in the unedited version. The chick who gets strangled in the beggining starts the movie in her bathroom naked. And you get to see her boobies.

Pretty cool. I've never seen un-MSTed versions of movies.

I was at FYE a few days ago,and saw special 2 packs of old sci-fi/horror movies, including such MSTied movies as Rocketship X-M, Bride of the Monster and Robot Monster.

I have still yet to see what appeals to you guys about the un-MSTed versions of these movies. I mean, sure, if you liked a movie and just want to have it in you collection to watch, un-MSTed, at your leisure, then OK. I just don't see many people sitting around watching The Day the Earth Froze or The Brute Man, drinking some beers with their friends, on a Friday night, WITHOUT RIFFS!!!
Sorry, I guess it's just me,
Servo

I'm lucky in that i'm in New YOrk and there's a video store with a major number of unmsted movies. But no Manos! I get to check out the missing boobies in Incredible Melting Man and now I'm gonna check out those boobies in Beast of Yucky Flats. I have a hard time believing you Domi, simply because the film was made long before nudity was accepted except in the most underground kind of stuff. So if you're wrong you're gonna owe me $1.50

Thanks for the link. I wonder why it says its in black and white though because Manos was in color.

Yeah, that's right! The hell?! The movie is so hopelessly inept that even decades after its production it still can't get a thing right.

The un-MSTed version of Werewolf is at my local video store, but I only saw part of the original episode, so MEH.
