Two of what I thought were some of my favorite groups just released new CDs and in a fit of excitement, I bought them. They are: Chemlab - oxidizer Dismantled - Post Nuclear Chemlab used to be the best in decadent industrial sound with "Burnt Out at the Hydrogen Bar" and "East Side Militia", but now they just sound like crappy EMO inspired music trying to be industrial. I hate you Weezer. Dismantled was inspired by one of my favorite groups Front Line Assembly, but the new album just has a bunch of screaming and drawing out their words like. "EEEEEEEAAAAAAAAAAAATTTTTTTT YYYYYYYOOOOOUUURRR luncCCHHHHHHH" (Not an actual lyric). It just tares out your eyeballs. why? Why cant they all just kick ass. Meat Beat Manifesto "In Dub" kicked ass, why cant they? Ill just stick to finishing my Haujobb colection.

Wow, I have no idea who those bands are. And to think, I was happy when I bought a new copy of the Beatles "Rubber Soul" the other day.
Maybe I'm just not hip, then again, do I really want to be?

Servo When hip was cool, you'd've wanted to be hip. Then it became hip to be square(CURSE YOU HUEY LEWIS!!)and you wanted none of that, believe me. Hip has gone all the way around past cool again and is now the new dour, or taciturn.

It is the mistake of every generation to think they are the first to be cool. Cool rotates. Cool is valid only while it's current but is destined to become passé. Enjoy it while you can punks.

You should never by Cd's from spooky bands you never really heard of, or only like just one single. I learned that from experience.

And we should all learn from the experience of a 12 year old. Hey! I am the most-knowing Miss Chloe! But that is true, you must admit.

Maybe I'm just not hip, then again, do I really want to be? Servo if you were hip, I'd never call you knee again. hey Jack, have you ever thought of burning CDs without pants? it's quite interesting once you get the hang of it. oh, already getting the giant pole to trust me off stage? come on! I just got here! by the by, if you want a good CD.......the Decemberists - Castaways and Cuttouts. that is, if you're into folkie-rock type "indie" twee pop. just ignore that last sentence and check 'em out.

Well all these bands except for Dismantled have been around since the 80s. So how old does that make you feel really?

Well all these bands except for Dismantled have been around since the 80s. So how old does that make you feel really? Well, that old comment about, "they've been around since (Insert Decade Here)"doesn't go very far with me. If you look at it, a lot of famous bands (Nine Inch Nails, Kid Rock, etc.) have been around since the late 80's/early 90's, but, when did people first hear of them? So, it doesn't make me feel older. Perhaps I'm out of touch, I'm out of time, but I'm outta my head when you're not around........... Oh wait, now THAT might make me old! Servo P.S. Hall and Oates rule

Well Im used to making people feel "out of touch". People will look in my CD case and only of heard of one or two bands inside (if they are lucky).
