Got some Chinese food today and the "fortune" said "You are never bitter, deceptive or petty." Now I wouldn't say I'm deceptive but I've wholeheartedly admitted to being bitter and petty. Sheesh, are these things inaccurate!

Boy are those things off. I've noticed as of late, every time I get a fortune cookie, they're generally just random statements rather than fortunes. That and the stupid lucky numbers that are never lucky.

I think those magic 8 balls give more accurate fortunes then those damned cookies.

I think those magic 8 balls give more accurate fortunes then those damned cookies. I know they certainly shatter and break better than those nefarious fortune cookies. You can also use them to break other things. Servo

Well, I know I skipped one about a 1/4 mile when I threw it out of my Firebird window going about 80. That was fun. It skipped a while and then shattered in a mass of mystery fluid and black plastic. IMO Magic 8 balls are one of those toys that fall under the category of fun for a while but then you want to see what's inside the thing. Kind of like Stretch Armstrong.

I think mine broke so well because it was actually from the 80's. Of course I've cut a Stretch Armstrong open before and had to clean that up. Who hasn't done that though? Servo

Servo I tried to make mine into a robot *glances back at Stretch-bot* soon my pretty. Soon. All I need is a brain. A human brain! For a robot... that really doesn't make much sense, huh?

Fortune cookies always say good things, never things that are true, like "You will grow old, peniless, and unloved", or, "Your 11 year old daughters are already having sexual relations".

Yeah, I agree with my esteemed colleague Nightfalcawk on this one. Fortune cookies that say things like that are handed out while waiting in line for the Jerry Springer show. Servo
