That's pretty cool, I know I wouldn't mind my tax dollars goin towards exploring the MST moon.
But you can look at it in another view as it also looks like it's a huge meteor about to annihilate the entire sweet earth that harbours life and joy and pretty things, now GONE! all GONE! death everywhere! all at once in a single moment of shear terror and retchidness! Why!? Why!? MST WHY!?!?

No, Forrest. It's absolutely real. It's not photoshopped at all. It's just the exposure of the camera doesn't pick up stars. Didn't you see the link to badastronomy.com? The letters on the MST moon are really there, too. There's no way it could have been faked on a soundstage or a computer.
