....I don't like the song "Lean On Me".
This is a thread for stating opinions of yours that are so unpopular, someone might accuse you of having no soul. Like, if you don't like baseball, Forrest Gump, or apple pie. Or if you hate dogs, or think that horses should be part of the American meat industry (you are damned to hell if you do! J/k).

Well then I don't really get the three stooges. Slapstick can only go so far for me and this show went a little over that farness thing.

Actually this was unrelated to the 3 Stooges talk.....but that does apply very well. I just heard "Lean on Me" on the radio this morning and thought about how I didn't like it, even though everyone seems to love that song. It is a beloved part of popular culture.

I love the Drifters, and if memory serves me correctly, it is that group who sang SBM. On Broadway, Up On the Roof, Under the Boardwalk (gee they really were all over the place weren't they?), Save the Last Dance For Me, I love all those songs.

...I think Forrest Gump is the "Seinfeld" of movies. It's overrated, not funny, pretentious, annoying, and clearly not worthy of its legendary status. Both are proud to be "about nothing", as if that somehow increases entertainment value.
Crap on celluloid.
Also, Bob Dylan is overrated. But you already knew that.

So I love Stand By Me, and the Drifters, tho they are unrelated, except for both being part of the soul genre. I saw the Drifters once in concert, or what was left of the Drifters, there were only two original members left. The opening band, which also served as the Drifters' backup band, had to put on like a double show because the lead singer of the Drifters showed up way way late and drunk. He was cursing at the audience and he kept leaving to take a nip offstage. It was bad bad bad. Except for the opening band. They were pretty cool, especially the drummer. Mamacita! This was several years ago. |

For me I find Eminem to be one of the most overrated singers in recoreded history. Not sure what anyone else thinks of him but I personally think he sucks. Hell I'd go as far as to say that I'd rather listen to Vanilla Ice then him.

1. I don't like the Lion King. It is just like all other disney movies. I made fun of it.
2. Steven Speilberg SUCKS!
3. Conan O'Brien is the most interesting and funniest talk show host currently on; better than anybody else. He is also the most redheaded. ;D
4. Janet Jackson's boob should not have been a big deal.
5. In Living color is not funny.
6. But Jim Carrey is.

- Almost ALL modern music sucks
- I like Macintosh computers
- The New World Order IS real, and it IS out to get you
- Almost ALL modern Hollywood movies suck
- I don't think 910 - The Final Sacifice is that great

I love the rain and cool - cold weather. They're just so clean, fresh and healthy feeling. I think I'll move up north if I ever get around to it.
