I love Dancing Queen. Otherwise, I can't stand Abba. One way or the other, I stand behind you.

Coheed And Cambria - Good Apollo, I'm Burning Star IV Volume 2: No World For Tomorrow[/color] Well, I didn't actually BUY it seeing as it's not out yet, but I will. At first, I was extremely disappointed with this album. It didn't seem to have the Coheed sound, it didn't seem epic, and I hated the drumming. After listening to it a few more times though, I'm starting to really like it. Much better than their last album, that's for sure. Lots of excellent bass lines and guitar work (and some pretty sweet solos) mixed with the occasional piano and strings, which is something new for Coheed. Claudio's voice is awesome, as always. He doesn't sound like he did in the first 2 albums, but once again, it's better than the last effort. Now that I've really listened to this album a few times, it is indeed quite epic. I think I let my disappointment of it not sounding like the first 2 albums get in my way of fully enjoying it. This also marks the conclusion of the 5 part story in the Coheed and Cambria universe, and I gotta say I love the way it ends. If you're a fan of rock, or just good music, I highly recommend picking this up when it's released on the 23rd. Here's a video of their new song "The Running Free" to give you an idea of their sound. youtube.com/watch?v=DE2e2Gf8NAk

I'm a big fan of some Zep songs, but not enough to get a bunch of their albums. These two collections (now in one sale-priced package!) are just about perfect for me. The only song I can think of that I wanted, but is not on here, is The Ocean. That's okay, and with all the others I wanted, it's about as much as you can ask for from a Greatest Hits-type collection.

Grandaddy: Just Like the Fambly Cat Thumbs pretty high up! Love this album and love the band. Shamefully their last album as they made no money. Think the singer's continuing though.

Yeah, Yeah, Yeahs - Show your Bones
It's received positive reviews but I think it's the worst, aside from the great Phenomenon, and the okay Gold Lion & the final track the rest of it is worthless.
A band this eccentric I can't expect to stand still with a sound, but it makes me wish "IS IS" hadn't been an EP -20 minutes wasn't enough. They've never come close to matching that one.

Nirvana - From The Muddy Banks Of The Wishkah Great live album. Having been on a Nirvana buying-spree lately, I just got this. Great choices - "Breed", "Blew", "tourette's", "Smells Like Teen Spirit", "Heart Shaped Box" and "Lithium" sounding especially good. Why am I suddenly into bands who broke up when I was born? And the box looks nice next to my avatar. Basically a "greatest-hits" deal with one new song, "You Know You're Right". Fantastic choices - everyone's favorites return - "Smells Like Teen Spirit", "Come as You Are", "Pennyroyal Tea", etc., etc. And what is the world coming to when my favorite song is called "Rape Me"?

I got Amnesiac by Radiohead and Orphans by Tom Waits for my Birthday.
Amnesiac was brilliant (love the final track and this version of Morning Bell is sooo much better), but I've only dipped into Orphans (That being said, I love Lucinda, Little Drop of Poison, and King Kong).

I just got a Parson Sound album... holy crap. I ran out to buy an iTunes card as SOON as I heard it. (And much to my delight, iTunes actually had something I wanted to buy for once!) Parson Sound is a psychedelic band from Sweden in the late 60's. The sound quality is fantastic, and makes me wish LSD wasn't bad for you. This would be quite the music have a trip on.
