What a great set, I love Warrior of the Lost World, Santa Claus and Night of the Blood Beast they are just increadable. I'm not a fan of early season 1 at all, I think they started to get great at the tail end of that season. Can wait for this set.

This is an awesome set, and I love the Turkey Day version of Night of the Blood Beast, so I posted over at ShoutFactory and got this reply:
ME: "Just heard the lineup and extras for MST3K Volume XVI and I have to ask (if it's not already planned), PLEASE make it so that Night of the Blood Beast can be watched with its Turkey Day segments (as compared to just having them as extras)."
(The awesome) B. Ward: "The information given out a few days wasn't entirely accurate. There will be BOTH versions of the movie on the disc."

(The awesome) B. Ward: "The information given out a few days wasn't entirely accurate. There will be BOTH versions of the movie on the disc." Wow! That is really awesome news!!! Even though it is a totally possible technology, I didn't think that Shout was actually going to do it! That is great, because I like the Turkey Day version much better! Hooray! EDIT: ...and yes, Shout Factory is awesome... and if nobody believed it before, this is total proof that they are the right people to handle MST3k on DVD.

Sweet. I, too, was just expecting it to just be a separate bonus.

In a way this is the first box set to have 5 episodes on it.

great info - I love both versions of Blood Beast, so it's always difficult to pick which I'm going to watch.

When will this be available for preorder? I can't wait to get this one. I couldn't agree with you more Tor. I have been checking the usual distribution sites on a near daily basis since this announcement.

I'm really excited for this set. I've never seen any of these episodes (that I remember), so all are new to me! Plus, two versions of NotBB and a real Tom Servo to go with my Crow (rather than the lame one I made out of clay)! Can't wait for SN to put up their pre-order link!
I myself like the first season, and am glad for more first season eps. I actually really like Erhardt. There's something about him that's...I dunno...less downtrodden than TV's Frank, IMHO. (Not that I dislike Frank...)

What is the cheapest site to preorder this set from?

I don't think anybody has it for preorder yet. Deepdiscount.com is usually the cheapest preorder site, but they usually get their preorder page for new MST3K sets up later than other retailers like amazon.com.

I pre-ordered Vol XV via amazon just as soon as I found out that it was available. They had and I hope that they will still have the lowest price feature. In other words, whatever the lowest price was during the months that it was queue, is what I paid for it. Which turned out to be very competitive with deepdiscount. I think I paid something like $38.99 for the set.
