I just received an e-mail from that TV shows on dvd website. It states the MST3K VOL XVI will now be released on Dec 8th instead of the 1st. No reason given as of yet. www.tvshowsondvd.com/news/Mystery-Science-Theater-3000-Volume-16/12614I was beginning to wonder since I just completed my rounds of the various ordering sites (amazon/deepdiscount etc..) and the set is still not available for pre-order..

Amazon.com now has Vol XVI available for pre-order I went and ordered mine for $45.49 But amazon still has their "lowest price pre-order guarantee" which mean I will get it at the lowest price available during the next 3 months. This worked out great for me with Vol XV. The price was in the same price range of deepdiscounts lowest available price at that time. I do not "have to have it on the Tuesday" that the set is released but I would like to have it that week... LOL So I selected the free shipping which has always worked for me in the past.

Excellent. Considering the "specialness," if you will, of this set, $45 is reasonable, and as you said, it'll likely come down. I am so excited for this set. Hopefully SN will have their link to Amazon up today.

The discount they received from the manufacturer was larger due to the larger pre-order of units. I don't believe I've ever gotten one for MST3K, however. And I doubt if we'll get one for The Beatles Mono Box.

The timing of this release comes at the perfect time for Christmas! My wife doesn't want me to buy for myself because it will give her the perfect idea for a Christmas gift.
