I'd love for them to do Gamera vs. Jiger. It's got so many wild things in it. It's my second fav of the old Gamera movies, behind Gamera vs. Gyaos. Gamera vs. Viras is kind of a slog, especially with all the stock footage. Gamera: Super Monster is such a chore I'm not sure even MST should touch it.
If they could do one Godzilla movie I'd want it to be the American version of Godzilla Raids Again. On its own it's a decent but bland cheapie follow-up made quickly to cash in on the success of the original Godzilla, but the US cut does so many inexplicably strange things that it has to be seen to be believed.

I'd REALLY love to see Shout be able to license some titles from Warner, so we could get some juicy cheese like THE GREEN SLIME, FROM HELL IT CAME... and yes, NIGHT OF THE LEPUS.
There is plenty still to mine from MGM's catalog: PEOPLE THAT TIME FORGOT, THE NEANDERTHAL MAN, etc. I'd LOVE LOVE LOVE to see them riff ARENA (1989), but I don't know if an HD master exists for that. There is a wealth of badness from Roger Corman's catalog (from which they licensed STARCRASH, AVALANCHE and WIZARDS OF THE LOST KINGDOM), too much to list here...
There's not a whole lot of available Japanese monster stuff out there, but X FROM OUTER SPACE is a no-brainer (I assume Janus/Criterion still own the rights to it).
One film I've wanted to see above everything else get the MST treatment was FLIGHT TO MARS (1951). Seeing as it's a Wade Williams title, I don't think there's an HD master for it.
A few other films that have Blu-Ray releases that would be perfect for MST: DISCO GODFATHER H.G. WELL'S THE SHAPE OF THINGS TO COME MONSTER OF PIEDRAS BLANCAS DRACULA VS. FRANKENSTEIN JOURNEY TO THE SEVENTH PLANET GOG EMPIRE OF THE ANTS

My season 12 wishlist:
• Redo the bridge set to make the background more detailed, do some kit bashing and throw up some unexpected objects • Have a more dynamic camera during host segments • Either attempt recorded riffs from the theater or improve the lip sync - my assumption is they are performing the riffs but with the pre-recorded audio playing over it, sort of like how music videos are filmed • Improve the puppeteering of Crow's eyes • Have a cameo from Joel Robinson and Mike Nelson • Have Kevin and Bill or Kevin and Trace perform Crow and Tom for a host segment, perhaps when they explain how the bots got back on the ship (and during Mike's cameo?) • Bring back the shorts and do a few black and white movies - widescreen black and white movies do exist

Any of the other Gamma One films would be PERFECT cheese for MST3k. The bad guy in WAR OF THE PLANETS even looks like Hampton. Pretty sure that Shout (or someone!) was planning on an Arena Blu-Ray, swear I'd read that somewhere. I saw that too many times on HBO in the 90s.

Yep, I had read about the Empire set a few weeks ago and was bummed to see ARENA wasn't going to be in HD. That movie is awesome-crap to the max.

I came across Arena on cable tv late at night back in the 90's. I was so sleepy and confused, I thought for a good half hour I was watching some bizarre Babylon 5/Deep Space Nine crossover episode!

For one of the host segments where more than one Servo or Crow is traipsing about, they should have Kevin, Josh, Trace and Bill do background voices just for shits and giggles. (If Trace ever wants to be on).
And shorts! They need to do shorts!

And shorts! They need to do shorts! YES. I was thinking the same thing. Maybe it has to do with the HD thing - if so, screw that noise and give us shorts!

16mm prints of kooky educational shorts turn up on Ebay all the time. I think that's where Rifftrax gets some of theirs? The costs of scanning 16mm are peanuts compared to 35mm.

I'd REALLY love to see Shout be able to license some titles from Warner, so we could get some juicy cheese like THE GREEN SLIME, FROM HELL IT CAME... and yes, NIGHT OF THE LEPUS. Rifftrax already did Night Of The Lepus. I'm not against seeing MST3K's take on it too, but it's not really on my list for films I'd like to see in the next season either. It's funny you should mention From Hell It Came. MovieBob made a video for films he'd like to see them take on in the new season and that was at the top of his list. They actually wanted to riff on From Hell It Came back during the show's original run. It was even mentioned in the Amazing Colossal Episode Guide. Unfortunately they were unable to get the rights to the movie. I'd love to see them finally be able to have it on the show after all this time. However Joel seems to have been influenced by MST3K: The Movie for this season in the sense that all fourteen episodes involve good looking prints of widescreen color movies. I can understand why he would gravitate toward those to try and help the show work as dynamically as it can with the 2010's Netflix audience. However if that continues into season twelve it would leave B&W 4:3 movies high and dry. Even if they did get the rights to From Hell It Came, it ironically might not work for this current incarnation of the show. It could actually work better for Rifftrax since they don't have those sort of set qualifications for their Video On Demand titles. That's still assuming Rifftrax can get the rights of course, since obscure cheesy movies don't work very well for MP3 releases.
