But perhaps you and MJ and I could sneak away for a few hours... Yeah, something casual would be nice. Especially if MJ is there also. But I'll be traveling light with only one carry on. I won't be bringing a guitar. I can hook you up with a guitar, no problem.

If we're plugged in a Telecaster, I hope.

My instinct is to go for the suburban hotel. But just how much would that increase traveling about expenses? Also, are suburban bars okay? I'm not the type that visits bars, but I am reasonably fond of liquor. My question is, would we be traveling great distances just to go boozing in a nifty place, or would we be going to the hotel lounge or Joe's Place 'round the corner? I'm not picky, but is anyone?
I don't much care what kind of attractions I see. I like attractions, but again I'm not very picky. Mostly I want to hang out with persons who have similar interests (that is, do whatever with Misties), watch a number of episodes, and maybe do a little drinking. But that last one isn't really essential.
Oh, and did I mention I'm flexible?

I also think the suburban hotel makes a lot of sense, especially price-wise.
However, if we do that, it would behoove people to have/share a car. I suppose if enough people were driving in, we could maximize carpooling options.
We need to hear from those flying in if they're planning on a rental car or if they're counting on shuttles, taxis, and walking.

I'm flying in and I did enough driving last year, I think I'll let some one else do the driving this time.
As far as the hotel situation goes the more people we have, the better group rate we could possibly get. Also since I work at a hotel I may possibly be able to get an employee rate somewhere. However I won't be able to check on that until at least March.

I'll be driving and am willing to do carpooling duties (for maybe a small compensation). But then I'll have only two (or three if ya squeeze) seats available 'cause Taylor (uh, "Ms. Wilf") is going to come too.

(uh, "Ms. Wilf") is going to come too. Damned dyslexia. I read that as "Ms. Milf." On the one hand, downtown, in-hotel restaurant/bar. Pretty convenient. On the other hand, expensive as all hell. Samptari, how's the "West Siiiide" look as far as reasonable motels go? Maybe Lakewood area, since it's close to Casa Bonita and not too far off of I-70? Oh, and then there's Green Mountain...

I'll be flying in Thursday night and renting a car so the cheaper suburban motel would be nice. I'm not sure about carpooling...by Friday night the back seat area will be knee deep in beer cans.

Damned dyslexia. I read that as "Ms. Milf." Now, don't you boys go gettin' any wild ideas. Besides, she's not a mom. I'm not sure about carpooling...by Friday night the back seat area will be knee deep in beer cans.
Y'all should try drinking more liquor. It's quicker and by the time you're too drunk to drink, there's less mess. Well, fewer "dead soldiers" anyway.

I'm flying in but I don't drive, so my first hotel preference would be one with a shuttle. But if that's not doable, I could look into booking a car service to take me to whatever hotel ends up being the choice. That's what I did last year to get me from the Philly train station to King of Prussia.

If I go (big "if"), its difficult to decide which would be less expensive...a suburban hotel, but paying for additional transportation, or a downtown hotel with all the trimmings, but almost everything within walking distance. A meeting/conference room we could rent would be great, though. It was difficult to fit 11 people in one average hotel room for any length of time, comfortably. Someone needs to bring a cooler for drinks. It saves money on drinking out at bars and restaurants...for those who do that sort of thing. And if I am able to attend, I'm going to be a pain in the a$$ (yeah, so what else is new?) and insist I attend the "recording session." I can't miss that, just can't.

I'm looking at flying in and doing a shuttle service. While I've been to Denver, it's been quite a long time(1989) and I don't feel comfortable driving in unfamiliar places.

I'm thinking of maximizing carpooling possibilities.
Perhaps people can post and say if they will have a car while in Denver or not.
I have a 7 passenger van, and others will be driving or renting. We may be able to get people to fun stuff without everyone needing their own vehicle.
Even 3 or 4 more cars should do it.
That wouldn't guarantee transportation to and from the airport, but it could guarantee transportation to and from events/restaurants/sightseeing.

My Jeep's a little low on passenger/luggage space, but I'll help if necessary.
