Yeah. All you've gotta worry about then are commercials, and those'll edit out easily.

Is The Movie available on VHS? If not since the DVD is out of print I think it should be freely tradable. Of course the best thing would be to re release it restored to it's original cut.

I think Universal fears the re-release.
And, if ever it is determined that the movie is out of print in both VHS and DVD, then the Movie should, by trading post rules, be tradeable AS LONG AS it was recorded from TV (such as STARZ).
I think.

Not necessarily. They could very well think that people aren't going to buy another release of this DVD, meaning that they think that they might *lose* money in the deal (even though we know otherwise). Just because money might come in over time doesn't necessarily mean that they'll get decent profits from the deal.

Anyone who has the original release would buy a new one if it was restored to the original cut and had extra features. That's what poeple expect now and they'll pay for it if it's worth it.

Yeah, they would. I'm sure it was a Scam, but I remember an eBay auction for an MST3K The Movie that claimed to have the deleted/improved scenes. The price by the time I saw it was over $300, and it still had a day or two to go.
