I'll also guess that "Gunslinger" is NOT among the releases - perhaps BBI's license did not extend to DVD media, or we would have seen it a couple of years ago. . Yeah, Gunslinger is Roger Corman so not much chance of that.

For all of the brilliance of season 4, only Manos (424) has ever been released. Here's hoping for an all-season 4 box set!

Hear hear for City Limits! Everyone needs a little Kim Cattrall in their lives. I was fortunate enough to tape this during the Comedy Central days, but the ultimate would be a professional DVD release.

On the note about Godzilla: Have you've ever seen one of the MST3K specials, where Crow does his ***Zilla routine? Through the whole sketch, "Godzilla" is bleeped out at various points through the word. That joke was based directly on Tohos aggressive lawsuits on the use of "Godzilla"

MST3K holds its own in terms of sales. Ultimately if they sell at an acceptable margin, we'll see more.
I suppose that if enough rights holders see that the MST3K version is the only way the movie is going to see the light of day sales-wise, they'll come around. Roger Corman and Sandy Frank? Forget it.
"Monster-A-Go-Go" or more Coleman Francis? Very possibly.

Kim Catrall? James Earl Jones? Badly choreographed motorcycle stunts? How could it get any better?
But I kid, MJ. What 4 would you pick from season 4?
Frankly, I'd rather have an 80s post-apocalyptic episode than any of the Hercules bore-fests. Especially the sandstorm one.

Hmm, Season 4... It must have 'Day The Earth Froze", my fav of the year (yup, even more than Manos! "Gasp")
Monster A-Go-Go Giant Gila Monster Attack of the the Eye Creatures
And I know Eye Creature and DTEF were featured on the MST Hour, so they could include the Jack Perkins stuff as extra's.

Which episode had Hired Part 1?
I think that should be released so I can make more sense of Part 2 on my Manos copy.

As great as this news is, it still leaves us guessing what will be in the new box set. We can probably make a pretty good guess though.
After all, there are still two VHS titles in Rhino's catalog that haven't been released on DVD yet, namely 511- The Gunslinger and Shorts Vol. 3. (There were rumors circulating that Rhino had lost the rights to Gunslinger, but Rhino insisted that they still held the rights to it. Hmm.)
The other two discs will probably be DVD releases for the BBI VHS titles 908- The Touch Of Satan and 1006- Boggy Creek II: And The Legend Continues. This isn't too much of a stretch, since they already went that route with 1002- The Girl In Gold Boots and 1009- Hamlet on Collection Volume 4.
For anyone who cares, here's my prediction for Rhino's long, long term plan for MST3K:
Future box sets will be released about twice a year, containing random episodes of course. In addition to the nationally televised episodes, a few of the direct-to-video specials that were originally released through the MST3K Info Club will also get the DVD treatment. At this rate, Rhino will release all 176 nationally televised episodes on DVD by 2023, if we're lucky. (Thank goodness for Tape Traders.)
Share and Enjoy, _Ford_Prefect_

Hey Ford, nice to see you over here. Welcome! Yeah, that was my thought as well. Tho the point of rights holding back "Gunslinger" as been discussed on this thread. The thing I've heard is that they are waiting for rights to clear before announcing whats going to be in this set, and perhaps "Gunslinger" is what they are waiting for (This is wild speculation of course. But hey, at this point wild speculation is all we have) Sure Corman isn't a fan of MST, but he is a notorious fan of money. The frugal one might be persuaded with a little flash of green.
