It's going to be another Sci-Fi era release. The previous one was best seller of all of the box sets. Also Mike & Kevin giving commentary is another big clue to it being another Sci-Fi era release.
I would perfer: Violent Years (with uncut version) Beast of Yucca Flats (with uncut version) Samson vs. Vampire Women (with uncut version & Greatest Frank of All host segment) Night of the Blood Beast (with uncut version, 1995 Turkey Day Bumpers, both Thanksgiving & regular host segments)

Tormented Gamera vs. Guiron Gamera Beatniks That would be my pix, but they'll probably pick the worst episodes in history.

Well if we're picking which ones they should release then I'm gonna say...............
Rocketship X-M Fire Maidens of Outer Space Laserblast Diabolik
What they most likely will release, that's another matter, Gunslinger (obviously) Shorts Vol. 3 Touch of Satan Boggy Creek
Obviously I'd prefer the older eps but, hey, maybe everyone just loves the Sci-Fi era that much. It would explain the last box set.

Shorts Vol. 3 would not be good for collector's since we have most or all of them already. I'd rather it be four full eps.

I agree, as a person who wants to collect every episode, the shorts are a waste. I have them already so It bugs me, paying for a DVD I wont watch.

Hey Ford, nice to see you over here. Welcome! Yeah, that was my thought as well. Tho the point of rights holding back "Gunslinger" as been discussed on this thread. The thing I've heard is that they are waiting for rights to clear before announcing whats going to be in this set, and perhaps "Gunslinger" is what they are waiting for (This is wild speculation of course. But hey, at this point wild speculation is all we have) Sure Corman isn't a fan of MST, but he is a notorious fan of money. The frugal one might be persuaded with a little flash of green. Hi Mighty Jack! Nice place you got here. I was thinking about continuing the Rate Nine Game here since the SCI-FI Bboard is going to go the way of the Dodo. Do you think fans will still enjoy playing it? I know the Gunslinger thing has been mentioned, but on some boards I've been to people tend to skip through and not read everything in the thread if it's more than a page long. Has Corman made any specific comments about his movies getting the MST treatment? I'm not a big Corman fan so I don't know if he hates them as much as, say, Joe Don Baker.

Definitely keep the game going. We've got a game section here called "Gypsys Games", in which we've got a few going....namely the 29 page "The Chain Game", "Name That Riff", "Battles in the MST", "Survey Du Jour", "MI's Where Are They Now?", mrsphyllistorgo's "All we have is each other", and my own "Quote Run-On Sentence". BTW, nice to have you here. Welcome!

It has more to do with what movies that they can get the distribution rights to than how well specific releases are doing. Since those videos are the only feature length titles that haven't received the DVD treatment, they seem the most likely candidates. Rhino has already proven they don't care about maintaining the show's continuity based on the existing releases. Even on Collection Volume Four they list the Season Ten episodes as "Disk 1 & 2" and the Season Eight episodes as "Disc 3 & 4". Mike & Kevin giving commentary doesn't tell us anything because they worked on the show for all ten seasons. If Bill were giving commentary, that might be a better clue since his earilest involvement with BBI is the last three episodes of Season Six. Share and Enjoy, FordPrefect

Like I said they've probably looked into it and have seen that the most popular box set was from episodes from the Sci-Fi era and will think that they will sell better. If it is a sci-fi release I'd like it to look like this Jack Frost Prince of Space Final Sacrafice Soultaker

The Corman thing was a while ago, but he said he didn't think it was very funny and he had this sour look like his tummy was upset. :0
As far as the Sci-Fi eps selling so well, part of that is due to it being released during the Christmas buying season.
I wonder how past X-Mas releases have done and what was released?

Oh no, don't get me wrong I think that's great. And everyone who showed their support by shelling out the cash for the set deserves a big pat on the back. Solid sales = More DVDs!
I don't think you can say, and hope they don't think; well hey, this did well so let's just focus on the Sci-Fi eps.
If they want to mix both CC and SF that would be great, but I'd hate to have them ignore all those golden oldies.

Still, the Scifi eps are, IMO, the most accessible, since the jokes seem IMO to be easier to understand (as in less super-obscure references). Still, some more CC eps would be good to get all nice and digital.
