When I started watching way back I remember I liked the movie part right away but it took a bit longer for the host segments. I think maybe because they looked like a cheap kiddie show (they do) and I wasn't familiar with the characters. I came to appreciate them but I didn't right at first. How about you?

I don't remember. It was 11 years ago.

I was only abe to watch this show through the tapes and then via Sci-Fi network.
I remember not minding the Rhino/CC era skits. Pod People and Amazing Colossal Man both had segments that made me laugh.
But when they relaunched on Sci-Fi... I hated them. I'd go make a sandwich or whatever. As it progressed I started to enjoy them more but I never liked Pearl, Roman Times left me cold and the Ape Planet never made me laugh.
I remember Stefi on "Touch of Satan" was the first one that I really laughed at a LOT (My initial thought was... "Is that annoying Pearl gone, or is this temporary?").

At first I didn't care for them that much because I thought they just got in the way of the movie but I came to appreciate them later on.

Any host segment that has the Beez in it is alright with me. Amen to that brutha. Too bad it wasn't permanant, I'd watch Beez anytime and I'm sure many men would tune in. I really think that Mary Jo Pehl comes best in small doses, The Brain that Wouldn't Die was great, as Dr. F's mom the first time (607- Bloodlust I believe)

I think I liked the host segments as much as the actual show. It was, to me, one big thing of goodness.

Nope. Saw the first few episodes as a kid, and I actually remember liking them more than the movie segments. Watching as a kid is the key here. The host segs do look like a kids show. Once the characters won me over I was hooked in.

In the first episodes I watched I liked the host segments more. Now I like the movie segments more.

I seem to remember liking them, but that was like what, 13 years ago? So I’m mostly sure I loved them right off the bat. Mostly.

I've always liked the host segments. I anticipate them sometimes. It's a nice break during the movie.
I really like the Sci-Fi host segments. Of course, maybe that's because my first episode was Track of the Moon Beast.

At first I didn't care for them that much because I thought they just got in the way of the movie but I came to appreciate them later on. My experience was pretty much the above... I don't remember exactly when it hit me how great the host segs could be. I would have to go back and watch Pod People because I'm pretty sure it was during that ep...that was a long time ago, you know. I saw Pod People for the first time back in what? 1992?

I loved them right off the bat. Of course, my first two episodes were First Spaceship To Venus and Godzilla Vs. Megalon, two eps with the some of the best host segments ever. Especially the Orville Popcorn sketch in GvM.

My turn. I never really got into the host segs back when it was on CC but I was just a casual watcher then. When I started to watch it on Sci-Fi, it was mostly for the movie bits. Until I started getting obsessed and when you get obsessed with something you don't nitpick.
I love the Sci-Fi hosts now, very much. I'm starting to get into the CC hosts but I'm still there mostly for the movie parts (more so with Joel as I'm still not as accustomed to him like I am with Mike).

I like some Host segs right away if they get me laughing like a hyeena. Like the Barbeque skit, Extra Bold!
