Another appropriate thread revival from last year. Almost exactly a year, too. Oh well, I'm game: 1. Red Zone Cuba - just depressing, not particularly funny. 2. Giant Spider Invasion (only rerun about 19 bajillion times) 3. Sidehackers (don't like rape, even when it's heavily edited) 4. Skydivers - see #1. 5. Angel's Revenge (BOOORRRING)

I also will mention Angels Revenge as one..there arent that many I dislike.. the others Overdrawn at Memory Bank, Escape 2000, Village of the Giants, and Colossus and the Headhunters..I.didn't like the segments much in that one, haven't watched it in years, not really into watching it.. Most movies I can sit through, my least likes list is either from a movie I cant sit through or the segments werent very good... This is a cool post, glad it resurfaced

Haha, Angels Revenge is like my favorite episode. It's a tie between that, Final Sacrifice, or Riding With Death. Anyhow, I don't remember posting in this thread before so I will play along now.
1 - Hamlet (yeah you've never heard that before) 2 - I Accuse My Parents 3 - Mighty Jack 4 - Fugitive Alien 5 - The Hellcats (I like Biker movies but this isn't one you want to run and watch over and over)

Hamlet - I STILL can't get all the way through it. It's just soooooooooo slooooooooooooow and plodding.
Skydivers - Very one dimensional, nothing really stands out in it.
Blood Waters Of Dr. Z - Very dark and depressing.
Space Children - I've never been able to get into it. It's like Jell-O with fruit in it. It seems like a good idea until you think about eating it.
Gunslinger - The most boring, do nothing western ever. Riffing is spotty at best.

As explained elsewhere I'm in the middle of watching every episode so this list will maybe change but right now the five worst have to be; 1) Castle of Fu Manchu This was just terrible. One of the worst movies ever used, coupled with a totally flat performance. Almost zero good jokes for the first hour and a quarter. The only good thing is the Mads bad riffing at the end. The show just seems to be completely lacklustre, they even say that they struggled to say funny things because the movie was so bad. Joel couldn't even be bothered doing an invention. It feels like they were done in after a long season and just had to churn this one out to make up the numbers. Just awful. 2) Hamlet Fair play to them on trying this, they clearly knew they were cancelled and decided to hell with it. Shame it's not funny. 3) Robot vs. the Aztec Mummy The name suggests the perfect MST3K movie. Sadly it's just too dull for them to do anything with. Made even worse by the fact that they tackled it so early and were just not ready for it. 4)The Mad Monster I can't remember this one much because I kept falling asleep. Like Fu Manchu I had to do this one in a number of sittings both times I saw it. I wasn't going to include Season 1 because like KTMA it's a bit unfair, but these two are simply awful! It's a surprise they survived two such bad episodes so early in its run. I actually quite like pretty much every other Season1 episode. It, like Josh Weinstein, is a bit underrated! 5)The Hellcats Like Fu Manchu it's phoned in. The flashback stuff was done better in the KTMA season and the riffing is, in the main, poor. Obviously if KTMA were counted then K05-Gamera would be in there, probably at number three, because poor old Joel just can't do it alone, especially without a script, but I'd take pretty much any KTMA episode over the other four. K04-Gamera vs. Barugon was pretty stinky mind you. Actually I'd put that in at number five because of Josh's Kermit voice. At least they didn't keep Servo as Beeper! Wow, I wrote that a year ago. Thought I'd check if my bottom 5 were still the same now that I've just finished Deadly Bees in my watching everything in order marathon. I'd say it probably still is my bottom 5, although I didn't do what episodes would be in if i didn't count Season 1. These two would be: The Gunslinger Unbearably dull and in no way deserving of Joel's second last episode. Dreary movie and poor riffing. Revenge Of The Creature In no way deserving of the opening episode of the Sci-fi era. I really didn't like this episode at all and for me is the worst of Season 8. Obviously it's understandable that Bill isn't up to scratch as Crow yet so he doesn't deserve blame. The largest problem with this one for me may be because I watched it straight after the wonderful Season 7 and it just can't hold up, like most of the first nine or ten Season 8 episodes. I may enjoy it better if I go back to it with some distance, but at this point it's one of my least favourite episodes of the show.

I agree about Castle of Fu Manchu being churned out...I felt the last 3 eps after Santa Claus Conquers the Martians were all churned out.. A lot of the movies that are dull, well thats part of the reason why the movies are bad, some bad movies are just dull and boring to sit through, but with the MST riffling its supposed to make the dull go away.. Some bad movies are better than others, heck, some are good movies actually... I think Robot vs Aztec Mummy would have been better used in a later Season when they got it more together in the theater..

5. 819 "Invasion of the Neptune Men". I've seen this episode exactly once, and I don't think I want to see it again anytime soon. Why? Is it because the movie is so friggin' awful? No, the show has done worse movies and I've been entertained by those episodes. It's because this was the watershed episode where the wall came down, the gloves came off, and BBI stopped poking fun at their movies and began ripping into them with a savage air of cynicism and hatred that I never, ever warmed up to. Just screaming at a movie about how much you want to kill everyone who worked on it is not what I like about MST3K.
4. 806 "The Undead". I don't get it. I loved all the other Roger Corman episodes. What was it about this one that made it tank? Probably the fact that it came right at the start of Season 8, at a time when the Brains had just come back from a year of cancellation and didn't quite have their A game going yet. You can tell they were ill-prepared for the return to Corman territory, as the riffing just tries too hard. And the host segments are among the worst, longest, most drawn out ever - damn the SciFi Channel for not letting BBI do shorts early on!
3. 403 "City Limits". Man, I wish I could like this episode. With all those big name celebrities, you'd think the guys would have a field day, but the movie is so dark and lethargic and nondescript that it gives Joel and the bots absolutely nothing to work with. After the brilliant invention exchange (a beacon of hilarity in an otherwise mediocre outing), I can barely force myself to crack a smile in this episode. The riffing is middling, the host segments are "eh", and the movie is the very definition of "life-sucker".
2. 1009 "Hamlet". Old hat, I know, but dagnabbit, I just can't get into it. I realize that it was an experiment in riffing a good story with crummy production values, but the fact that the riffing was so unnaturally light and embarassingly sub-par just brought the whole episode crashing to the ground. "He killed a chicken?", "I've got a bit of the flu", "I stuck a fork in the outlet", "Hey, any Danish left?"...come on, BBI, you're better than this.
1. 202 "The Sidehackers". I don't care if you have to strap me down and Clockwork Orange me, I will never ever like this episode. Shame on BBI for not watching their movies before selecting them, and I'm glad they learned their lesson with this episode. The presence of Joel and the bots notwithstanding, there is no humor that can be siphoned from the scene where JC strangles Paisley to death. I hereby vow that I will never watch this episode again.

I have only seen about 50% of MST, and of these I detest:
1. Angel's Revenge - cheesy 70's charley angels ripoff - the jiggle effect is completely offset whenever one of those creatures opens her mouth to deliver a line
2. Overdrawn - stopped paying attention halfway through - completely unfathomable to me.
3. Stranded in Space - turned off halfway through - never to be revisited
4. Hamlet - I hate this because I like shakespeare
5. Tie: Manhunt in Space/Crash of the Moons - I want rocky to perish horribly in the flaming wreckage of his p.o.s. spaceship, along with his comic sidekick along with every other character who wears satin costumes/capes/hats with a planet or a lightning bolt sewn on it.

I stopped watching halfway through, and will never watch it again. I'm actually a little ashamed of BBI for putting it out. It contains literally segment after segment of almost no jokes beyond the relentless mocking of Joe Don Baker--He's fat, he burps, he smells--it's barely funny the first time, let alone the 100th and it's not clever at all. I would watch any season 1 episode any time before watching this ep again.

Put this one ahead of Gunslinger for inclusion if you don't count Season 1. Very unfunny episode all round which is a shame as it comes during a period of Season 8 where they finally had gotten their act together.

406- Attack Of the Giant Leeches I used to love this episode but I think I played it out. The last time i watched it I wasn't laughing all that much.
503- Swamp Diamonds I always thought this was a bit of a slow movie. Even the riffing doesn't help much.
909-Gorgo Leonard Maltin : He stinks and I don't like him!
911 Devil Fish I am probably one of the few people who doesn't like JAWS and this is just a very bad Jaws like film.
1009- Hamlet N'uff Said

Just screaming at a movie about how much you want to kill everyone who worked on it is not what I like about MST3K. I feel the same way but I've never had to courage to come out and say so here. Making fun of a movie isn't as good as just having fun with a movie. And so, my bottom five, from worst to not so worst. 1 Hamlet. Well, surprise, surprise. Or not. I saw it once and that was after years and years of trying. I will never watch it again. 2 The Girl in Gold Boots. I get it, she can't dance, he's not much of a mobster and Critter is a little odd. But that's the point of the movie, they're all losers. Three tries over five years, not as bad as Hamlet. Again, on my "no watch" list. 3 Danger: Diabolik. Not much of an episode to go out on. I was never really fond of the movie itself but Mario Bava was a good visual director and he deserved better. 4 Squirm. No, just no. Never could get through it on the Sci-Fi channel and I have no interest in tracking it down now. 5 Gunslinger. Because I have to select a Joel episode and it was either this or Swamp Diamonds. Bev's better in the swamp so Gunslinger loses. Cheap, schlocky Corman beats boring, plotty Corman every time,.
