It would be EXTREMELY weird to hear Trace's voice coming out of Tom's gumball head, IMO. ;-) I think they actually do that in the first segment of The Indestructible Man.

Yeah, I spent a while looking this morning too but something (obviously a mistake) made me rule out Tulsa. Then after your post I tried looking for anything on that specific game and found that site. Why it wouldn't come up without Tulsa in the search who can say.

Boggy Creek II: In the football game at the beginning, 1) Who was the University of Arkansas playing, 2) What year was it, 3) Who was the opponent? Holy crap, I must be bored... Anyway, there are a few clues. First, the stadium is definitely War Memorial Stadium, where the Razorbacks play only 2 or 3 games per year, which narrows it down. (compare to pictures of Razorback stadium and the difference is obvious) The movie was released in 1985, and it's probably a safe bet that it was filmed that same year. If you listen to the play-by-play during the scene where the kid answers the phone in the office, you can pick out the word "Tulsa" at one point. (it's very difficult to make out, but if you put on some headphones and crank it up, you can definitely hear it) Incidentally, one of the announcers is almost certainly being voiced by Charles Pierce himself. ;-) Based on that, I would guess that they are showing game 2 of the 1985 season, against the University of Tulsa Golden Hurricane. Looks like it was a real nailbiter, with the Hogs winning 24-0. en.wikipedia.org/wiki/1985_Arkansas_Razorbacks_football_teamAccording to this site, you're right. And you should really get an award for figuring it out. www.hognation.net/etc/movies.html

Here's a new one. I've seen this on YouTube, but it's by itself. It's a Joel/Kevin era host segment where Joel pops in and yells, "Hey, everybody, let's do the Sandy Frank song!" Surf-type music plays and Joel and the bots dance about. Lyrics include, "Sandy Frank, Sandy Frank, he's the source of all our pain!" and "Sandy Frank, Sandy Frank, Spielberg won't return his calls!" 306 - Time of the Apes Am I the only one who finds myself whistling or humming that little tune for no particular reason? Once it gets in your head it never leaves.

Do the rebel townspeople from Hercules Against the Moon Men count? I love the meeting they have where Joel and the Bots "mistake" each speaker for a celebrity and give them a round of applause.

I like the American military guys from the first part of Gamera. First the young one with the shaky voice: "No, sir. It must be coated with anti-..... electric-wave paint sir."
And the guy who announces the Gamera sighting: "Looks like a huge turtle made its appearance."
It almost makes it sound like they were expecting him.
The old guy in Teenagers From Outer Space is good too. That shot of him unable to cross the street cracks me up. He might not cut it as peripheral though.

Oh, bravo on ^ that one ^ ! Very nice. Although, I must be the only person in the entire world who realized he's the government guy from the beginning of the movie who gets the letter "from a chap on Seagull Island. He says if we don't take him seriously this time, he'll unleash his bees." I think it was a commentary on gov't beaurocracy that he only finally showed up as the credits were rolling. That's actually pretty funny then. I don't know how many times I would've had to watch that to catch it. I wonder if most people watching it for the actual movie caught it or if they had the same reaction as Mike and the Bots.
