Because I have the DVD of Alien from L.A. and saw that one first, I actually liked it. But I wanted the MST3K version as well. And got that some time afterward. I especially liked the Arab prayer opening that went right into a Yodel.
So my list is:
1. Moon Zero Two 2. Alien from L.A. 3. Hercules 4. Hercules & The Captive Women 5. The Magic Voyage of Sinbad 6. Outlaw (of Gor) 7. Cave Dwellers 8. Stranded in Space 9. The Screaming Skull 10. Squirm

I just read about the Susan fiasco with Shout and yeah, that’s absolutely crazy and ridiculous. Far as I’m concerned, I too am now convinced even after her passing we aren’t going to see any of her films again soon. But I guess only time will tell.... We'll see about that...

The first MSTie who wins the Powerball jackpot has to buy Hart and Williams out. Deal? I have ZIM, those are a pretty trillion dollar notes, if the RV is here, I will see to it that every single MST3K episode will belong to the fans. In return I want all the releases and for Shout! to plan out a total series release of everything. And for Dave Long or someone to help me with my blogger to finish some items in that. Other than that, I would not take any money for it. They can donate it to the welfare of animals and the homeless.

Considering her track record with this stuff, I assume Shout will win. I'm very curious about what will happen to Susan Hart's catalog when she inevitably loses control of it. Considering how monomaniacal she's been at preventing anyone from using any of her material over the last 20 years, my assumption is that she probably has a trust set up so that when she dies it will also continue to prevent her films from being distributed in perpetuity unless some ridiculous monetary thresholds are met. Same thing with Wade and Rocketship XM. She is an absolute golddigger, and she will waste all of her money that she does have on all her frivolous lawsuits. Also if she keeps it up, I'll step in and make these movies available to everyone in the universe. She has no rights outside of Earth's sphere. We'll see about her little demands. The bitch.

I had to double check it, the "Animated Menus of MST3k" bonus feature is on "Mighty Jack", which is part of Vol XXII. Yeah that's probably the one that was uploaded to youtube. I'll find the link again, if I can. I'm sure I have it somewhere or can easily find it again.

Those three are actually relatively rare, I think because people bought the Rhino versions and didn't bother upgrading. With "Batwoman", it's not even an upgrade at all, it's the same master. Do you have the Batwoman dvd release then? Let me know if it's just a generic menu. That way I can cross that one out on the list as having an animated menu.

Shout's edition of Manos was meant as a special release so it got the full treatment like the episodes released in box sets. Same for The Movie/This Island Earth, particularly being a Blu-ray/DVD combo. None of the other singles/re-releases have animated menus, although I'd like to point out the Mitchell/Brain That Wouldn't Die disc from the 25th Anniversary box set (or Vol. 28) which has a more limited variant compared to the others (just dialogue from the two movies though, not the 'Bots). That's what I figured and I hope that was the only one because there's little chance I'll find any of those readily available. But the menu and the episode both are on youtube so I can get that added to my blogger, no problem. The Mitchell/Brain menu I had finished up a while back and some lines and sounds were from the actual full-length movies themselves so I had to watch through those on youtube to get the menu ensemble finished. Thankfully they were on youtube. I really hope one day soon someone uploads the full-length movie of Marooned (aka Space Travellers) to youtube so I can fill in the time points for the few lines used from that. And the Movie that I have on DVD doesn't come with an animated menu so am I right in guessing that there was a newer release of the MST Movie? My copy is from some years ago. Now I'll have to grab that one too, and is it a double disc release with the extra blu ray? I need details!

If you're really interested in the menus, one of the discs has a bonus feature about them. Which one was that? What disc? Yeah I had no idea that those rare single dvd releases had any extra work put to them and figured they were simply recycled, and it could be that Manos was the only one that got the new animated menu added to it for release, but now I wonder about those few other ones. Also apparently there is an animated menu for This Island Earth. I would have never known unless I saw a snippet of that on youtube. It was like a collage of menus all strung together, like a few seconds worth of each one since box set 13 or so.

Okay, I was viewing some of the very first DVD releases put out on Youtube of the boxed sets that started to feature those animated menus, and as some here know, I do have a project going on with that as seen here. And I came across the animated menu for Manos: Hands of Fate and I couldn't believe it, it was probably done around the time of the Gamera menus. So I looked up any other single DVD release that might have had its own menu treatment and in the section here under "Shout! Factory single episode releases" it has the Manos release and there are others. What I want to know is if there were menus made specially for these other titles: Wild World of Batwoman Red Zone Cuba Beginning of the End Manos Hands of Fate (confirmed animated menu for this title)The others listed with it are individually either from a boxed set already having a menu animation or a release with just the generic menus. Also I did see a snippet of MST3K The Movie / This Island Earth with an animated menu and of course it's not on my DVD copy of it. And as always I have a notepad docu saved for the future upcoming Manos blog entry and will be adding that one when I can.

Update on my blogger! I grouped the boxed sets' menus on the side right after the search feature I added, and made all titles accessible that way. Not only is it more organized that way so the dates on the posts are grouped within the blogger itself, so they're also in an order to each box set number. Blogger has a feature that lets you set a date for posts. But the ones I had posted previously without altering the dates, some of them did get new dates but the original dates are in the URLs themselves. At least for those. So instead of scrolling and scrolling a lot, unless someone wants to, the menu posts are right on the side section of the blogger. I also added some more links in the Menu Team bit. There's no real team, but I glommed onto everybody over there. So anyway technically, all the menu stuff was committed to memory and so me putting earlier dates on the posts to match up and in an order isn't all that off. As Mozart said in Amadeus: I got it all here, in my head. The rest is just scribbling and bibbling etc. So I have recently finished the following menu ensembles: The Black Scorpion Gorgo The Leech Woman The Day The Earth Froze Moon Zero Two Operation Double 007 Kitten With A Whip Revenge Of The Creature The Magic Sword Danger Death Ray The Mole People The Slime People Rocket Attack U.S.A. The Deadly Mantis Village Of The Giants The Crawling Eye The Beatniks The Final Sacrifice Blood Waters of Dr. Z The Thing That Couldn't Die The Pumaman Untamed Youth And as a bonus, I found where those screams and sounds came from in the episodes that the original post for this topic was asking about, for Blood Waters, Final Sacrifice & Crawling Eye, those came from Zombie Nightmare. There are still a few menu ensembles I need help with but it's listed on the side, as well, further down the side. I also finally got my movie clips youtube channel updated and added a lot of clips as well. Lots and lots. So my one movie clips entry in the blogger is finally done! Finally. I have another entry planned but that'll be later. Also more movie clips planned as well for my movie clips channel. So I got a lot done over the last two months. I will be chillin' now. I am exhausted.

Update on this project: I have all of #36 up now, with Stranded In Space & Incredible Melting Man.
This will be it for awhile as I'm still waiting for someone to upload The Black Scorpion episode and menu. So I can finish off #30.
