It doesn't matter. Fair use is real. And it wasn't Shout!
Trust me on this one. I might be invisible most of the time, but I am on top of things. I have...plans.

TheNewMads, have not seen the movie. But I was referring to the fact that the mob is still very much in power here. Regardless of what side, blue or red, sits in some mansion as head of the slop hill.
MyLungsWereAching, although I avoid most of everything because everyone is phenomenally insane these days, I've still seen leftist conspiracy so far gone from logic and normal that I think maybe Mars does have some vendetta. But who can blame Mars? NASA probably started a war with them that we're just now feeling the effects of.
Oh and there is financial gain in any war and fear mongering and big pharma, and making sure the inventions of Tesla don't come in and ruin their evil cash cow. Like I said, I hate them all. And I come by my hate fair and square. I wanted that electro-tower-flame thing that could put a hair split in the moon but NOOOOO! Tsk. And now I can't even get anti-gravity beading laced into my parachute for extra fun when freaking out the drop zone dudes.
And Mike, oh it would have been funny if he got on that radio show or whatever it was and told the audience that someone had been down there with the ugly stick.

I'm actually happy with seeing conspiracies everywhere, but like everything, the idea that only right wingers see conspiracies everywhere is a conspiracy. Here here! Something about conspiracies is that some of them are actually true. And the world will be in the light soon enough. All evils revealed. I'm in Arkansas and I can tell you, we've had a front row seat to the Clintons; the land of Clinton where the shadows lie, and I hate hate hate them and all their minions and orcs, with a passion. A passion that is alike to Beatrix Kiddo. Kill Bill & Co. Of course I also hate the clowns on the right too. Chock it up to me just hating everyone and that I've learned to stop worrying and love the bomb.

OH FFS! You know you can get youtube to put it back up? Do that by disputing the copyright as a "fair use" and check that box. Then point to the fact that other people were relying on your link to feature the menu of the DVDs that has NOTHING to do with that clown. My blogger link for that episode now has no link to the episode and that messes me up. Fair Use. It's there for a reason. I use copyrighted stuff on my channels all the time and if they try to pull and block the videos, I dispute the copyright owners and say 'hey this is fair use in the public domain'! And they can't do poopie. BTW here's my blogger link: mitternachtkino.blogspot.com/Scroll down the right side menu and you'll see the list of episodes to each boxed set. And here are just two of my channels full of copyrighted stuff: www.youtube.com/channel/UCgYO6Pl1_k8E53dcyzAvEwQwww.youtube.com/user/TheMuze12And you know what? That copyright clown cannot claim anything to do with MST3K, because the video you had up was from the MST episode!!! Which means that the picture AND sound are both altered and is not the original movie in and of itself! That's how these creeps are getting away with censorship because not enough people know how this stuff works! FAIR USE. It is a thing. And it's powerful. Ask yourself, what would Rowsdower do?

Thanks Kmorgan! I still have some bits that I need help with but Dave Long has already made contact with me so, this thing may be completely complete in a very short time. Cause if you scroll down the side menu of the blogger, you'll see about 8 menus I really struggled with and cannot find the places of the sounds or lines used. But can you believe it? This project is finally done! A long way from where I began when I came here asking for some feedback and help as documented in this thread: forrestcrow.proboards.com/thread/23364/menusWhat a ride!

Oh yeah. Heh. I was really determined to get it done once I started heading towards the last several boxed sets. I don't have those boxed sets (as I note on the blogger itself) but they were all on youtube and a few were on some other video hosts. So all the stuff was there and I didn't have to buy the sets and wait to get them in order to finish this massive undertaking.
And it was quite taxing at times. I experienced burn out many a time and had to take a break from it. I mean, you know? They are cheesy movies and there were some I just wanted to get done and not have to look back on! LOL!

I have been working on my MST3K menu project on one of my bloggers and now, as of tonight, it's done! This thing took years to complete. One reason being is I wasn't always able to work on it night and day. I experienced burn out a lot of times. Had to take breaks. And then life and crap like that. And then trying to live when that guy in that one episode was killed. He died as he died. Dead. So naturally my menu ensemble project that heralds the work of Dave Long at Shout! Factory kinda went on hold numerous times. But now! VOILA!

I do the same thing, I'll have something playing (usually a DVD movie though) while I houseclean. Thanks for the link!
But if I take the CD, I'd want to send you something for it. I make these pouches, among other things (I sew) and I can send you one for that CD.

Thanks Nectarsis. That blog was a lot of work and there's lots of stuff there. When I first put it up, it was just for movie reviews and clips of scenes from movies. I riffed the movies I reviewed and saved all of the posts of them I used to do on my yahoogroup: CosmicKeep2525. I would do these reviews and saved them and eventually created a blog to put them all up since yahoo went to poopie. Even if it didn't, I would have still made the blog.
When I started obtaining the boxed sets of MST3K from Shout Factory and saw how the animated menus were done, I was fascinated as I'd never seen any show do that with their DVD menus. I looked online to see if there was anyone who had documented the menus and alas, there was none. So after putting it off, I decided that, well, I do have a blog about movies, I'm riffing them in review form, why not add in the MST3K Menus to the title and start putting these up?
So I did. And I know there are fans of the show that really like the blog. Sampo over at Satellite News likes it and even posted about it over there. So that's the one blog of my collection of blogs that gets the most traffic thanks to Sampo. He's really a very nice guy and he's a tireless booster of the show. A big fan like us.
There are some boxed sets I do not have yet, but when I can obtain them, there will be time slots I will be able to add the rest of the menus that aren't up there yet.

What it was is that at first, when I started collecting these boxed sets, I knew the dvd menus were created out of the existing episodes and riffs in them so I had the idea of doing this even as far back as 2012. But I knew it would be a daunting task. Since there are so many. Then one day, after searching the internet for any sign of someone else having this info available and failing to find anything of the sort...I just decided, well, I might as well contribute my time to this and get it out there.
Plus it offered me the many, many hours to watch (or rather hear) episodes more than once. Sometimes more than a dozen times. I get distracted, you see. And now I have MST3K firmly attached to my memory bank. Maybe too much? Maybe overdrawn?

I meant to post this before but life has been, well life. My lungs have been aching for air! So I finally got all the menu ensembles on my blogger done (for the box sets that I do already own) and even have number 13 up because those were available on youtube and 13 is where it really starts as far as the animated work of Dave Long is concerned. And the box sets I don't have, I can look to youtube to provide the content I would have in my possession but, alas, will have to order the previous sets over a course of time. Some of the sets are 20 - 30 dollars and I'd want to order at least 2 sets at a time. Until I have them all. So for now, my blog is complete for what I have and the stuff that youtube offers (blogger allows one to use past dates so I can keep things organized by set numbers rather than what I can post at a time) and although set 13 is placed in dates that seem past they are recent, but all the recent stuff through August and September is when I got the last sets and individual releases of Manos & This Island Earth posted. And here are the past topics I have here regarding all of this stuff! Topic 1 and Topic 2. I'm really proud of this work. Years to do. It all began around the summer of 2015 and a year later I changed my movie blogger to include the mst3k menus, starting with Robot Holocaust. It's been a long way. I hope fans really get a kick out of what I've done!

Update! Did find one youtube link with a little bit of the animated menu for This Island Earth, but it's unfortunately cut short. youtu.be/6eMaJWp1o0cBetween 0.26 - 0.41 seconds. If anyone can tell me if the dvd with the menu is currently available, and what I should be looking for, let me know. My copy of This Island Earth does not have the animated menu so it must be an older copy. Edit to Add: I just had a look at my DVD copy of MST3K This Island Earth and it appears that it's not a Shout Factory release. So I guess I will keep my eye out for the SF release as I'm sure that's where the animated menu will show up on.

Sci Fi canceled MST3k after S10. But what if the show didn't get canceled? Would you have liked to see more seasons, or do you feel that 10 seasons is enough, and that the show should end while it was still good? Yes and no. I mean I wished they had riffed movies like The Giant Claw, Escape from Galaxy 3, and some others that would have been perfect for a MST treatment. There were lots of movies also featured on a weekend night horror show series called Nightmare Theater, which used Elton John's Funeral for a Friend opening, and would go into a high-pitched, agonizing scream. Every weekend it'd be movies like you'd expect to see, bad b-movies. Made a lot of fun of those in that time. But there were some gems in there that would have been perfect for MST3K like Ghosts That Still Walk and Wild in the Streets. The Final Eye was another one that would have been super, as it was a very bad wannabe Logan's Run type film. Some of these movies are on youtube now in their entirety. So I feel that there was way more ground to cover. But on the other hand, I do recall Kevin mentioning that they were never showing the truly dark movies that were out there. That there were some really dark movies and minds that made them that they would have to suffer through and that the show really brought forth the best of the baddies. So to speak. So I agree that it was time to give it a rest. But the movies I mention are watchable on their own. Final Eye isn't really all that bad, either. Corny and dated as Hell, but it is okay. Very nostalgic.
