Alien from LA is the only one I really really struggle with. I tried rewatching it today, got just over halfway through. Its such a bizarre film and the riffing is terrible.

Force him to watch the Wild Wild World of Batwoman, and he will realise too late that an MST3K fan is a feeling creature, and because of it the greatest in the Universe...

I always like it when they talk to the movie as if its an actually person called 'movie'. "Movie? Hey, movie, can I see your Supervisor, movie?" "Er, movie, you got something you'd like to share with the rest of us?" "Well, thankyou movie, we appreciate that."

My favourites are the bits where the movie can go off at a total tangent, as if its 'switched reels on us.' It doesn't happen often; theres the tennis bit in Zombie Nightmare and the famous 'horny old couple and their lemons' bit from the Incredible Melting Man. I also like it when the editing is so screwed up it looks like characters are in a completely different dimension. The obvious one is the weird insert shots of Abby in the 2nd ep of Riding with Death, where the fim suddenly goes so quiet all you can hear are Mike and the Bots trying to figure out whats going on. "Mike, did the ozone layer finally give out, whats going on..." Theres a similar bit in Girl in Gold Boots where Leo seems to be in a completely different room to everyone else during the party scene ("Come to my dimension! Its fun over here!") but my fav is in the Screaming Skull. The couple are having a normal chat in the bedroom and suddenly there are very very bright close ups of them both looking very sweaty and with nothing behind them. Mike raises his hands and rocks from side to side going "Ahhhhhhhhhhh!" and Servo goes into a fit of giggles.

I'd love to see the MiSTed Invaders from the Deep and Revenge of the Mysterons from Mars (thats its proper title! Not Mysterians! ) cos I love all those Supermarionation series, even if those compilations are pretty naff. Captain Scarlet and the Mysterons is probably my favourite TV series EVER. There's more info at: www.supermarionation.netif you happen to be interested, or not, or whatever.

I'm a bit of an expert on the puppet series and Space 1999, so here goes... Invaders from the Deep, Revenge of the Mysterons from Mars and Thunderbirds to the Rescue were all compilation films - two/four episodes stuck together, like the Master Ninja films, or Riding with Death. Overall, there were 8 Supermarionation compilations, but IMDB seems a little hit and miss on what they list... If anyone's interested in a complete list of the compilations ("No!") here they are... Thunderbirds: Countdown to Disaster, Thunderbirds in Outer Space, and Thunderbirds to the Rescue. Stingray: The Incredible Voyage of Stingray and Invaders from the Deep Captain Scarlet and the Mysterons: Revenge of the Mysterons from Mars, and Captain Scarlet vs the Mysterons. KTMA-25 ?? Space: 1999 -- Moonbase Alpha ( ) Space 1999 film The first film was two episodes from the second season. One of which was the introduction of Maya(?)....the woman who transforms into animals. I would guess the second half of the film was the second episode of the second season. That's Cosmic Princess, the third of four Space 1999 compilations. The 2nd half, Space Warp, is episode 15/16 ish... ( ) Space 1999 film Two episodes from the second season that form one story. The plot is that that a bunch of aliens arrive disguised as earth people and only the Commander can see through the disguise. (I'm not sure if this was an MST 3000 film or not). That would be Destination: Moonbase Alpha, the second film, stuck together from the two part story 'The Bringers of Wonder'. Don't you feel better for knowing all that?

Anyone got any thoughts on what a non Zappa Village of the Giants stinger might have been?
Mine would have been the underwhelmed Sheriff looking up at the giants, and saying
"Oh for crying out loud, now whats this?" ;D

I love the Space Mutiny credits, where the bots blame Mike for the entire film and the 80s.

>>They didn't refer back to the Comedy Central years very often during the sci-fi era, which would explain no-Torgo.
It might have been hard to explain him getting out of 2nd Banana Heaven without Frank...

I remember Servo cracking up hard at Mike's "OH! OH!" noises for Bulk McVanderblast when McPherson was firing at him in the engine room and he was screaming.
