I freaking hate the movie with a passion The Little Shop of Horrors is one of the funniest comedies ever made - and I love The Three Stooges, too. I guess we just have different tastes.

I guess that would be an astute observation. Little Shop's (as well as Stooges) humor makes me cringe with embarrassment. I abhor both with a passion matched only by Mr. Atari's abhorance for "Incredibly Strange Creatures"

I have only heard Mike's commentary from Reefer Madness which was darn good. I look forward to catching his other ones.

I have only heard Mike's commentary from Reefer Madness which was darn good. I look forward to catching his other ones. They vary so much between movies.... Some he's riffing on the film. Others he's telling you the acting references of everyone (like you care). His commentary over the end of Carnival of Souls is a history of some concert venue in Wisconsin..... It's like he can't quite figure out why he's there each time.

Carnival was great though because some of the trivia pertained to the guy who made many of the shorts they riffed on, on MST. I liked the trivia bits for that one, and his jokes were a hoot. It, with House on Haunted Hill are my favs.

Although I can't understand why Mike couldn't place the landlady as the "Don't you just adore flowers?" lady at the Aunt Bee Convention in "Speech: Using Your Voice". But I don't really care that Huey Lewis and the News or Damn Yankees played at TroutAir but not at SaltAir.... Or how many years it's been between acting jobs for people ( Night of the Living Dead was full of that) I do LOVE the riffing in House on Haunted Hill and Plan 9 though.

That's a good point. While I liked his work (and strangly, it's a B movie I enjoy watching - and I've had a low threashold of tolerance for many of the movies he covered) some of Mike's comments were just filler - I think he did too much padding with Living Dead too.

....I think he did too much padding with Living Dead too. Especially when there's so much you could say about that film.... The fact that the first zombie leaves a perfectly good meal in Johnny lying there to chase after Barbara... That Ben says first that he jumped into the truck (because there was a radio in it) just before the gas truck being attacked by zombies came through....but then he says he had to put on his brakes to keep from hitting it? Or that when Ben finds the gun he has more bullets than there are zombies outside at that point....why doesn't he just shoot each one in the head, shoot the lock off the pump, gas up and go? I cut Mike a little slack though that there's already an "official" DVD of Living Dead with commentary by Romero and others and Criterion did a version of Carnival. Maybe he didn't want to repeat what they did but there wasn't much left to cover....

Yeah I guess that's a bit too much to ask for from Nelson. A lad can dream though.

Yeah I guess that's a bit too much to ask for from Nelson. A lad can dream though. Well, the film was made in Pittsburgh and he grew up in Wisconsin...as he keeps reminding us....over and over and over. ( j/k Mike)

Yeah, I've never been to Wisconsin but I'm sure it has parts that are worse than Pittsburgh and its surrounding areas.

Yeah, I've never been to Wisconsin but I'm sure it has parts that are worse than Pittsburgh and its surrounding areas. And there are lots of places in Florida that make Wild Rebels look great....

True. I guess the grass is always greener.
Homer: The grass really is greener on Flanders' side. Marge: That's because you keep getting drunk and passing out on our lawn.
