I just had a really bad idea. Naturally, I had to share it.
Might I present to you: The Accursed Game.
Every player will be Cursed by the previous player. It can be a curse from folklores, legends, fairy tales, or that type of thing (You are a werewolf, You must forever push a boulder up a mountain, etc.); the curse may also be something clever sounding that you invent on the spot (You develop the world's worst case of hydrophobia, you generate an EMP every time you exhale, every time you eat your favorite food your mouth fills with seltzer water), or something stupid (You're foot will turn into a pumpkin at midnight, you've got to write an essay on the works of Douglas Adams every night and it always has to be original and insightful without using previous knowledge from previous essays, you're reflection in mirrors makes fun of you, etc.)
Now, the curse has been given. It's up to the next player to turn the curse into a gift or power. For instance, if I'm cursed to have telemarketers be able to transmit directly into my mind when they call me on the phone, then my Gift might be the ability to to haunt telemarketers with any song that gets stuck in my head, or possibly using the telemarketers as impartial voices in moral difficulties in my life.
Once you've created a benefit from the curse, it is your turn to curse the next person. It's kind of like the exact opposite of the "Corrupt A Wish" game.
There. I've just turned my curse for stupidity into the start of a weird new game.
Next player: a plague of locusts follows you everywhere you go.
