Wow, you guys are really differing on this. I'm glad I don't have any strong musical opinions.

To keep your Ds from becoming ;Ds, you'll need to disable smileys at the bottom of your post. All you gotta do is click the appropriate box before hitting the "post" button.

When I was high at least, of course, I never listened to them when I wasn't high. I think that's the point of jam bands. I've also only listened to Phish while I was high. Hey, I'm seeing a pattern!!! And it's not because I'm high........... Servo

Hey you guys are high on drugs where as I am high on life,..and drugs, but mostly like. Yeah, I'm mostly low on alcohol. I can't handle them there drugs anymore. Just give me a pitcher, a pool table, and a good jukebox. With a good blend of drinking tunes on it, Servo

Well, I actually find myself agreeing with most of you guys, so perhaps my musical opinions aren't so "unpopular" after all...
1. Yeah, 80's punk is definitely better than 90's. I liked '70's punk about the same though (Brit punk, mostly).
2. Bad Religion rule, and are criminally underrated. Though I don't own anything newer than "The Gray Race."
3. Rap and "nu" country are not music. Neither is emo, nu-metal, or 99 percent of anything that gets played on the radio.
4. Alternative music isn't "alternative" to anything anymore. It should be called something else. Like crap, for instance.
5. Marilyn Manson is not goth. He is reasonably articulate and funny when he talks, but his music sounds like warmed-over Skinny Puppy to me. In a similar vein, 99 percent of what gets played in "goth" clubs nowadays (and I go all the time) is not goth. Goth had guitars, an experimental edge and songwriting talent, not just a sampler and a guy who can growl in German.
6. Weird Al is awesome. I have a couple of his old records (and they're actually records, like on vinyl) and they're hysterical. The funniest songs on them actually aren't parodies. My personal favorite is "Nature Trail to Hell."
That is all.

Hey, I'm sure we'd agree on those! Most likely. It's hard to disagree with anything when you're hammered. I'm talking some Johnny Cash, some Hendrix, a little Ted Nugent, some Boston, a dash of the Eagles, and some good old Hank Williams. That's just me....... when I'm hammered!!! SeRvO

I won't presume to argue with what sounds good when one is loaded. However, I will argue (unpopularly I'm sure) that The Eagles are crap on vinyl. Just what every band needs: three guitarists strumming the same chord.
I do like Don Henley, though. Good voice, good drummer, cool guy.
But like the Dude in The Big Lebowski, I must recommend that you replace all of your Eagles albums with Creedence. You'll be a better person for it.
Oh yeah, go back and replace the word "Eagles" in those sentences with the words "Fleetwood Mac", and it's basically the same thing.

I agree completely Sampo. I didn't say I liked the Eagles that much, I mean, I can hear every song in their library on the classic rock station in an hour, but, it's good when you're sloshed. CCR is good "being evil" music. I don't know why.

Hip Hop sucks Pink Floyd lost something when Roger Waters left Rush rules Prog is the greatest form of rock there is Jimmy Page is GOD Music sucked in general after the corporations took them over in the late 70s.
MTV killed music ("yes, Video killed the radio star")
White guys should stop trying to be rappers.
Forget all about that macho poopie and learn how to play guitar.
Chris Rock said it best..."What happened to all the cool white dudes with the guitars?"
