Ok, CT gave us another SCCTM, so that adds to the holiday marathon.
We have... Santa Claus SCCTM (MST) SCCTM (CT) Nestor A Visit to Santa's
Anything I'm forgetting?
Just for the fun of it, what would you like to hear Rifftrax add to the list this season? (or maybe next)
Are there any more shorts?
Features? Lets see, Die Hard was set during Christmas. Michael Keaton's Jack Frost.
TV? Nearly everyone has an X-Mas special and then there are those Rankin-Bass shows, like Frosty the Snowman (available on Netflix)

The problem with Christmas movies is that they're usually always comedy, and our boys don't usually do comedy on comedy.
But I stand by Batman Returns. I was hoping for this one before Dark Knight but meh, whatyagonnado?

The one either Rifftrax or CT has to do at some point is Santa Claus and the Ice Cream Bunny. This is the Manos of Christmas movies. It is surreal. If you want to know what it's all about go to the Agony Booth site and read all about it. They do not exaggerate its badness. If none of the old MST3K crew want to do it there must be a fan riffing of this soon.
The World Demands it!

Classic choice Dr. Z - It sounds like something the Titans would tackle.
Rifftrax just offered up a new short, Christmas Toyshop. I just watched it and I felt it was a sub par on a first listen (of course I'm starving, waiting for my food to cook so I could be adle minded right now)

The Magic Christmas Tree is another film that's right up their alley. Here's a clip where the tree gives this annoying kid superpowers which he uses to do stupid things like harassing a truck driver and causing panic downtown. www.youtube.com/watch?v=BF-8j7PKdjk&feature=related

Classic choice Dr. Z - It sounds like something the Titans would tackle. I know that at least MJ has seen it. I sent her a copy after the Denver meetup and she personally "thanked" me for turning her on to it. ( damned me, actually. ).

I wonder if they'll release a dvd of Christmas shorts this year. I guess if they do it probably wouldn't be until well after the holidays, since the live show isn't until the 16th of December. Be cool to get something holiday-related, though.

If they do what they've done in the past, they will release the Christmas Shorts they're doing for their live show for download very soon after December 16th. A Legends Film released DVD would be too much to expect before Christmas unless they already have it waiting in the wings.
Oh, one other thing. I think I've solved the mystery of why neither Rifftrax nor C.T. has tackled Santa and the Ice Cream Bunny. I think somebody still owns the rights to it. Unbelievably it is not in the public domain. So that's it for C.T. doing it and there are just not enough copies floating around of it to make it worth Rifftrax's while to do a Riff of it. I am seriously considering doing my own I-Riff of it and distributing it next Christmas as a free gift to anyone who wants a copy as a free fan thing. This movie must be riffed or I will never sleep in my grave!

Ice Cream Bunny! Ice Cream Bunny! Hmmm. I wonder if Blue Raja, Hellcat and Skyronitor could help me with this?
