Reminds me of the Sabre Store Launch Party when the bloggers were posing with the cardboard "Chuck".

Nice, spice. Traveling Salesmen is a darn good episode. I really agree about Ryan. He was a much more straight-forward character in the beginning but was extremely funny with his deadpan comments while not being so darn odd. He got really kind of out there in the second half of the show's life.
Thinking of Jim hanging up on Kelly on that call just made me laugh out loud. Good one.
Slightly off topic - now that old Kelly is gone I wonder if there will be any move to change Erin's name back to Kelly. Isn't that her real first name and Erin is her middle name? Hadn't thought of that in a long while.

#9 - branch wars this was one of the first episodes i thought of when making my list. just thinking of that picture ^ is enough to make me laugh - dare i say - out loud. michael does expect complete loyalty from his coworkers, but to be fair, he offers it back as well - much more than any of them, with the exception of dwight or possibly andy - might want. and it's funny that stanley's decision to move to karen's branch is only motivated by money. yet michael acts as if they are breaking up. and it is great to see that jim can be tricked into getting involved in the escapade michael and dwight plan - whatever the plan was. dwight peeing in the can - them playfully throwing jim's cell phone out the car window - all the bomb talk - it was all grade A. and come on - who here didn't want to be a member of the finer things club? i love andy's desperation to join. desperate andy is just fun anytime. and the funniest part had to be phyllis tapping that microwave about 50 times for her popcorn; unwilling to use the microwave in the kitchen because it "smelled like popcorn." and what was it oscar said? other than sleeping with men, the finer things club was the gayest thing about him. it's never said, but i've wondered who came up with the idea. i love toby's little bow tie. listening to jim talk to dwight and michael on the walkie talkie was one of the funniest scenes on the office, imo. what were they thinking? stealing a printer? michael brokenly telling jim to take karen to a motel and make love to her had me in tears. then of course, jim had to face the humiliation of getting caught by karen, which is every bitter ex-girlfriend's dream of closure - maybe not the exact dream, but it would feel awesome, i'm sure. you don't often see jim squirm much after he and pam get together, so it's kind of nice to see him twist in the wind every now and again. michael takes everything so hard! whether it's good or bad news. stanley, for the most part, sits at his desk like a lump, but his possible defection had michael in tears until he relents and stays. and pam also relents and lets jim into the finer things club, much to andy's chagrin. whatever became of the finer things club? did it disband? do they meet in secret? we'll probably never know.

...best moment: when jim smacks dwight in the face as they are walking into the building - the looks on both of their faces were classic.

SPOILERS! what did you guys think? last night's ep was weird. not bad, but weird. i didn't realize until today that nbc passed on rainn wilson's spinoff, the farm, but we still got to see the pre-pilot last night. i could see possibility in it, though i don't know - it would be difficult to watch dwight in any setting but dundler mifflin. even so, with nbc losing 30 rock and the office this year, i'm kind of surprised they would turn it down. surely a fair amount of office fans would loyally tune in. still, i'd hate to see dwight's show turn into another joey after friends. mejandra delfino as dwight's sister the funeral of dwight's aunt was pretty funny - ^dwight making sure dead is REALLY dead; and the people from the neighboring farms were funny in a creepy way. the fact that oscar was the only one who attended cracked me up. and hell, i'll watch anything if mose is in it. the scene where dwight shows his nephew how to milk a cow was pretty good, too. but i guess it's not in the cards. but back at the office, everyone kept busy trying not to eat the cupcakes packer brought in as a made up apology for his 9th step in - what - AA? NA? SA? why didn't they just throw them away and send erin out for untainted cupcakes? since those wouldn't be laced with drugs ala packer, i guess that would have been a boring option. ^awesome. it was also the first ep in a while that andy wasn't acting like a douche. and one mystery solved - we now know what creed's job is!

The Farm:Overall...I liked this episode. Some things I didn't like:The dirt-thing in the cold opening...lame. Sorry, but lame. It seems to me that the show has gotten so full of itself, that no matter what they do, they think it's funny. Yes they've known Dwight for YEARS, yes they've put up with worse things, but "I throw dirt in your face to invite/disinvite you to my aunt's funeral", is NOT funny. Stupid, maybe, but not funny. What happened to the bonding done by Angela and Aunt Shirley? Angela had NO REACTION to her death. The only explanation that I have is episodes aired out of sequence...but, then...no, that doesn't explain it either...sloppy writing...yeah, that's it. Todd Packer...the jury's still out on this one...on one hand, I want him busted for what he did...on the other, a line from a theme song of a beloved TV show keeps coming to mind: "Just admit to yourself it's just a show, you should really just relax." Although, it did lead to one of the funniest moments on the show... What I Liked:I had never heard of this song before this episode...catchy. Okay, funny: "Testing" the corpse. I'm laughing now... Aforementioned: Kevin and Andy in the office blazing: I thought I'd never stop laughing at Andy's "Hammer Pants Dance" in Kevin's pants. I'm sorry The Farm didn't have what NBC wanted. I like seeing Dwight in his element. He's got a lot of responsibilities, and I like seeing the "non-douche" Dwight more often. Oh, btw, I was watching an older episode where Dwight's running the "hay ride" in the back of a Dunder-Miflin truck...ah yes, Season 7 "WUPHF.com"...anyway, the last kid off the truck, is also the one who plays Dwight's nephew...I think that would've been an interesting relationship to see unfold...c'est la vie. Oh, and the relationship between the farmer's crow-beak-crushing daughter would've been fun-albeit a different kind of fun-as well. Oh, and as spicey said, it was nice to see Andy lookin' like his old self again. ...or at least not as douchey.

wow - GREAT video. thanks for posting that, cbg. i loved it.
yes - dwight in his element - he is a totally different animal. i like how self assured he is and how accepted he is by the others. it might have been fun to see that.
and i wondered the same thing - why didn't angela have a stronger reaction to his aunt's death? why didn't dwight want her there?

...i like how self assured he is and how accepted he is by the others. Not only accepted, but actually looked up to... respected. Something he rarely gets at The Office.

which one of the guys was it? referred to him as a rock star. yes, dwight is just as confident about himself around the office, but at home he gets respected for it. weird. and i listened to that song again. it's so great. would have been a perfect theme song for the spin-off.

I just got around to seeing this last night, and it wasn't bad at all.
I definitely had reservations about the Dwight spin off was announced, but like was said before I would have tuned in to it, especially if Rainn Wilson was involved. But what I saw of that world last night looked strangely appealing. Dwight's siblings were actually pretty normal – a cute sister and a normal/slightly off brother and the supporting crowd were very entertaining. I'm disappointed they didn't move forward with that show.
The Packer bit paid off for me in the end. Love him or hate him, he's one of the best characters ever to appear on this show. And he never fails to make me laugh. You don't fire the Packster, you fools.
Good stuff. The show is off again for a while, right? I may have to get the next entry done in the favorite episodes list.

I feel like a total tool that I haven't gotten one "favorites" review up yet. Sorry, gang, works been MURDER! Get-it? 'Cuz it's a MURDER myster...sorry. Besides that, the list keeps changing...my daughter has been watching a lot of office lately, and I keep peeking in and finding episodes I had forgotten about (forgotten in the sense that "I forgot there was so much funny stuff in that episode."), and then I want to include that one. Truth be told, I haven't made an "official" list yet, and the way it's looking, that may not happen...I'll get some stuff up here soon. Thanks for your patience.

i haven't posted any more of my top 10's because i lost my list. not that big a deal to come up with a new one, but i just haven't gotten around to it yet. i'm sure no lives will be lost until i scrounge one up. last night's show - FUNNY opening i'm not saying i relish the thought of phyllis or anyone in the office having one off at their desk, but i thought it was funny how instantly andy understood why she was doing it. how many eps till it's really over? time is running out. it was weird watching the promos of the doc and their reactions to it. i love how kevin is the only one not looking at the camera. i can't take much more of kevin's idiocy, speaking of which. they really have taken that too far, imo. we GET it - he's an idiot man-child. i don't know what to make of angela and oscar's relationship now - sharing a man together. i assumed that when the gay cat was out of the bag (or closet), it would end for at least one of them. it's weird seeing them sort of work together for this jerk. now that angela has seen the hottie dwight is courting, maybe it will bring her around. i love to see dwight in his environment - on his farm or with his weird ass neighbors. and i like his relationship with clark. his invitation to dwight to go out and find a couple of fours cracked me up. so pam goes out to see brian to find out the truth about how much the crew filmed of them and how much they knew. and when he tells her the truth - everything - she freaks out and leaves as if it is all his fault. it's funny - i know jim and pam will ultimately be okay by the last episode, but i basically just don't like pam anymore. she's whiny and unsupportive and expects jim to give up on his dream job to stay in a job they have both bitched about for years. it's pissing me off. i'm getting bored with the story line. andy is one of two people to me know - either a total dickweed or a michael scott wanna be. last night he was a michael - how he spent the whole time in his office, obsessing over a tiny bit of recognition he got from one of the idiot comments on youtube. but i have to say, i never thought i'd like nellie like i do now. he is butt. funniest line on the show and it wasn't even spoken.
