It's obviously very grindy, especially as you move along, but it still has something fun about it. Plus, I didn't know the Wii was quite capable of making the game look as good as it does.

The first few years of any system really is the shake-down point. I mean, look at some of the games that came out for the Gamecube when it was first released compared to the Gamecube version of Twilight Princess. I do believe Wii graphics will improve over time. They won't be as good as the PS3 or 360 graphics, but they'll be up there. Eventually.

The Wii's basically just a glorified Gamecube, anyway, right?

I guess you could look at it that way. Although, I couldn't play The Godfather game on my Gamecube.
Also, ECKS BAWKS RROD, and PS3 HAZ NO GEAMS!

I wish I had a PS3 or that our XBox 360 hadn't died because I really want to play FFXIII. But, then again, it's nice that I actually get things done, go to work, acknowledge my family, etc....

Screw that. Eat Cheetos, sit in a beanbag chair, and poop in a sock.

I should be getting Red Dead Redemption in tomorrow's mail. The buzz is, it's pretty good. You get to lasso people and skin animals. Or vice-versa?

I got bucked off my horse!
Pretty neat game, I must say.

I do want to play that, but I'm going to have to wait a few months. Is it anything like Gun? That was a good game.

Red Dead Redemption looks pretty awesome. I did like Gun as well, but it always like it could have been more.

Isn't it Grand Theft Auto with cowboys? Or is there a significant difference? Not that the idea is bad, I'm just saying...

Which one? Red Dead looks like it, and Gun tried to be, but was ultimately more limited in scope and the amount of activities you could do.

Plus, there were no old west helicopters with old west lawmen to come after you if you smashed crap up and killed the townsfolk. There were really only, what, three towns in the game?

Plus, there were no old west helicopters with old west lawmen to come after you if you smashed crap up and killed the townsfolk. There were really only, what, three towns in the game? Actually, if you commit a serious enough crime, a posse comes after your ass. But the biggest danger in this game is from animals. Mountain lions, wild boar, wolves (packs of wolves!) will come out of nowhere and ravage you remorselessly. Your ears really get tuned for the sound of a big cat or the yipping of wolves. But even worse are the grizzly bears! One after the other! And if you're on your horse, the horse gets it first! You can also do things like drive cattle, go after an bountied outlaw, play poker (and try to cheat, then you end up in a duel), play horseshoes, liar's dice, blackjack, arm-wrestle and get drunk in a saloon. But it is also one of the most beautiful games I've ever seen. The night skies, the sunsets, but especially the Monument Valley re-creation, in what is essentially Mexico. I'm almost done with the storyline (I've been taking a break from it).
