I finally joined the "current" generation and got a Wii not too long ago. My current fun has been had with the Mario Galaxy games. The second is better than the first, but they're both the pinnacle of 3D platforming. Completely fantastic.

I've been enjoying a gaming website called Giant Bomb lately, especially their feature called TANG (This Ain't No Game) which are video reviews of video-game related movies. Here's one for something called "Joysticks", wwhich I'm pretty sure I've never seen. Stars...Joe Don Baker! Greydon Clark and MST3K get a mention in this review. www.giantbomb.com/wonderful-universe-of-tang-joysticks/17-3027/And here's one called Street Fighter, featuring the late Raul Julia. I just saw this character used as a member of this boards' avatar. www.giantbomb.com/this-aint-no-game-street-fighter/17-248/But what I really enjoy is their MST3K-like take on playing a whole videogame, to completion, with somewhat funny comments while they play the games. It's called an Endurance Run. I'm watching one now where two of this site's personnel watch Persona 4, a game I would never play, but it does have it's moments. They also did an ER of Deadly Premonition, here. www.giantbomb.com/endurance-run-deadly-premonition-part-vj-01/17-2281/It was great listening to these two guys riff on a game I'd just finished playing. I ended up watching all 20+hours of their Run.

I remember seeing this on the video store shelf years ago. Can't believe I never rented it. How did Pearl put it for Overdrawn At The Memory Bank? Raul Julia, a really good actor. What is he doing in this piece of...

This Complaint Thread from PA has an embedded You-tube vid titled "Phase Ticks", and in it you hear a guy cursing (a lot) while trying get past said Ticks. The funny part is his conversation with his roommate (or brother?), with threats of nun-chucks and "erasing your WOW account" that sound oddly like a Napoleon Dynamite-like argument. forums.penny-arcade.com/showthread.php?t=124926&page=3

Oh my god. The best part is the guy at the end... "That was some of the weirdest poopie I ever heard in my life."

I'm currently torn between begging for Call of Duty: Black Ops or Fallout: New Vegas. They both sound so sweet.

I pre-ordered New Vegas. Paying for it wasn't so bad when it was spread out over the course of two months. BD2H, there's been a literal TON of information rushing in now that it's so close to release (less than a month!) on the Fallout Wiki's news page. I prefer things like Fallout over things like CoD. Both are fine franchises, but I tend to enjoy more fantastical elements in my vidjya.

I've been reading on it for a while. I haven't played any other game in the Fallout franchises except for 3, so I guess some of the features that were in the first 2 are coming back... but they sound so cool.. like being able to pick your age and stuffs.
Also, the thought of being a Courier that was buried alive sounds cooler to me than a kid that was abandoned by their dad to work on a water purification project.

Well, Obsidian has some of the people from Fallout 1&2 writing the plot. As much as I loved 3, the plot wasn't super awesome.
