So I went back and watched all 3 seasons over the last 2 weeks. By the time I was done, it got a little dusty in the room during the theme song montage at the end of the final episode. I still think the quality diminishes slightly each season, but I enjoyed season 3 more than before this time through. Also, watching them quickly in order brought out more recurring gags that I had missed when only watching one a week as they aired. For example, there's a jazz song that appears in Abed's horror story (from season 3's Halloween episode). Troy is seen humming that song repeatedly in successive episodes. During the pillow/blanket fort war episode, Fat Neil plays the same song on the campus radio station. Another one I noticed is that the Dean never leaves the study room without touching Jeff. I hadn't noticed that before, but EVERY time he talks to the group, he gropes Jeff before he's done. The episode I laughed at the most this time through was the "Journey to Hawkthorne" video game episode from season 3. The line I laughed at the hardest was this exchange: Jeff- "Death is no big deal. By the time I finish this sentence, 100 people will have died in China." Troy- "WHYYYYYY.....did you stop talking?!?" I still haven't bought seasons 2 and 3 on DVD. Don't know why, but it keeps slipping my mind until I realize I want to watch an episode from one of those seasons. Even though it has one of the most ridiculous premises of the entire series, the video game episode is really charming. I love how video game Jeff jumps like Megaman and how Pierce runs back and forth in place all the time. I think the show is back in October, and I'm looking forward to it. Curious to see how they do without Harmon. Hard to believe it would be possible for me to dislike this show with these characters, but I'm still nervous. And since I'm guessing we've probably seen the last of the paintball episodes, I thought I'd post this fan video on the paintball trilogy. I'm guessing someone worked fairly hard on this.

Really, NBC? Really? insidetv.ew.com/2012/10/08/community-premiere-whitney/The show premiere dates has been pushed back from Oct. 19 to - unknown. I was really looking forward to next Friday night. And now who even knows when it's going to be back. I am flat-out sick of this show getting kicked around by NBC.

This disappoints me; NBC has one of the best shows on TV right now- if not the best- and yet they consistently fail to see the show's potential. It's like they're the new Fox- Fox never understood the genius of shows like Arrested Development and Firefly, and wound up stopping them before their time because they were too obsessed with ratings. NBC just doesn't understand what they have in Community.

There's no denying Chase is a comic genius and amazing timing, but it's unreal just how much of a jerk he appears to be. Even when he praises his fellow castmembers he still qualifies it with a comment about how they're not "giants" or however he put it. Geez.
I'm glad the new guys reached out to Harmon about writing something. Too bad he didn't accept but I feel relatively good about the new producers.

I got a Facebook update that Community's new season will begin airing in February. I think the date is the 9th.

February? Really? Man, that's an even worse delay than I was expecting. I mean, why?
Frustrating.

That was exactly my concern. And isn't the episode where we meet Jeff's dad a Thanksgiving episode? Brilliant move, NBC.

The date is actually the 7th of February, which is a Thursday. Here's a video made by the Community guys explaining the delay in the show's airing, using Troy and Abed in the Morning. This video, I think is funnier than half the crap on TV nowadays. www.youtube.com/watch?v=7LV7M_WeGX8

well, i won't miss him very much. it ticks me off because i've never been his biggest fan, but i grudgingly began to like him in the beginning of the series. then he had to ruin it for himself. i think he was a douche to blow this opportunity. yes, the show has had setbacks, but he could have re-started his career in a whole new direction if he hadn't screwed himself out of this opportunity. . i say they bring on leonard full time!
