Holy smokes that is an awesome set. I am very happy. I just hope that the title of Double 007 is blacked out and not edited in the content of the episode.

Volume 25 is a major game changer with episodes from Universal, MGM and Warner.
This opens the floodgates for a ton of episodes, some of which are my favorites. Leech Woman and Deadly Mantis from universal and Escape 2000, Magic Sword and Outlaw of Gor from MGM.
Can't wait to get Revenge of the Creature and 007.
Shout Factory continues to get the job done. I love it!

No he's still Captain Marvel. Just most of his properties are just titled "Shazam" now. I thought they renamed him post-last year's reboot?

Huh, I guess you're right. That's what I get for not following the New 52.

Wow. I'm stunned. I'm not a huge fan of 801, but the potential for future releases is just...wow.
Shout Factory continues to impress the you-know-what out of me.

Great news about the big studio grabs... not happy with the episodes (2 of my least favorite, actually)... oh well! Still, its great news, glad 110 - Robot Holocaust is making it to DVD, and more MST3k on DVD!

The fact that these are major studio releases certainly bodes well for the continuation of MST sets. As for the episodes themselves, well, I like Robot Holocaust, Operation Kid Brother AKA Operation Double 007, and Kitten with a Whip. I haven't seen Revenge of the Creature yet but it is another landmark episode, first SciFi. er, ScyFy, episode they did.

Shout Factory deserves a medal.
We may end up with only a few episodes unreleased!

Shout Factory deserves a medal. We may end up with only a few episodes unreleased! The theory has always been that the biggie sudios would have no interest in this small time show/ask for too much money. Should Shout start developing relationships with the rest of them, the big hold outs would be Susan Hart, Roger Corman, and Arkoff, which all don't seem to want anything to do with the show (hell, Hart won't even release her movies on DVD for some reason). Toho could be a coin flip. But latest developments have me optimistic.

It's going to be interesting to see how they handle Operation Double 007. I never saw Cinematic Titanic's take of Ozzing Skull, but didn't that release have some allusions to the film's original title Brain of Blood? It might be a similar situation here.

I know that the title was altered on that release, as well as East Meets Waats, which also had to be sold under a different title.

In addition this gives our first Josh and Bill episodes in a while. So we get all the riffers. Not bad, not bad at all.

Holy smokes that is an awesome set. I am very happy. I just hope that the title of Double 007 is blacked out and not edited in the content of the episode. I think its pretty safe to think that the content of the episode will remain unchanged. Shout Factory hasn't done anything like that before, and if that was an issue, then they likely would have chosen from one of the many other movies they could license.

That's what I had been wondering about. Of all the titles they could have used from MGM, why would they have used one where they had to alter the title first? I'm hoping you're right. Maybe when TV Shows on DVD posts some news on the release they'll get a statement from Shout as to how far the retitling actually goes.
