Not gonna go into any real detail, but I'll say the riffing was top notch and there was at least one really excellent host segment.

Would you say it lives up to the show's heritage?

I'm happy the first word is positive. Here's hoping it only goes up from here!

I don't know if I'd go as far as to say the riffing was top notch, but it was fine. The one thing I found a bit disorienting was I didn't know who was talking often. Hampton actually sounds a bit like Bill Corbett as Crow, but I often got Jonah and Baron mixed up during riffing.
I found Hampton's Crow to be truer to the crow from the original show. Baron didn't really leave much of a stamp on Tom -- Tom just seemed like a generic standup comedian. You just need to look at my user name to see how closely I was watching Tom's character. I wasn't super impressed.
Don't get me wrong. Baron is very funny and proved in the discussion before and after the ep that he's very gifted at stand up and improv. But I think as an actor he's not building a strong enough persona for Tom.
I'm really glad that Gypsy has a female voice but I really, really hate the way she interacts during the movie, and I also really hate her new personality. She's not the gypsy we know and love -- she's not an adorable dummy anymore, she sounds more like a female DJ at a smooth jazz FM station.
Many elements of the show are very faithful to the original. Exactly the same format and the pacing of the riffing is the same. There is even a clever way they made the show like it was on CC even though there aren't commercials -- but I won't divulge how they do that.
The writing is pretty good too, but Mike Nelson's touch for ironic understatement is really missed as the hours wear on. He knew how to pace the laughs and the reincarnation feels a bit frenetic at times ... and two hours of it was a bit exhausting, at least IMO.
I wish we got to see more of Patton and Felicia on her little ziggurat.
I'm glad I helped get the show rebooted. I'm definitely going to watch (needless to say). And I'm relieved the show has the same home made feel as the original in terms of practical effects and all. But there's something about a show made outside Hollywood, by a bunch of smart and funny midwesterners in a business park in Eden Prairie, MN, that's sort of missing from the reboot. I'm sure it will grow on me though.

I often got Jonah and Baron mixed up during riffing. This is something I pointed out during the Kickstarter. Previous riffers always had a distinct voice from each other, but Jonah and Baron fall into the same vocal range. It's not exactly a death blow for me, but I was hoping they'd work on different delivery over the last year. Interesting that Gypsy it voiced by a woman now. I wonder if she's the mysterious signature on the post card we received.

I was away from the board a few days being busy with other things, and all of a sudden it's the premiere! Glad to hear from the lucky few that it went well and can't wait to see it myself!

Actually, from what I read on the Facebook page they said Joel shared a date but they can't share it with the rest of us do to the Non Disclosure Agreements, and the word "soon" was just added by a poster. So it sounds like we'll be getting one when all these premieres are over, also accounting for the twelve week buffer it takes for Joel to actually post an update.
Edit: Also going over the Revival League posts, there seems to be a lot of enthusiasm from those who watched it. Granted, enjoyment is enhanced at an event like that, but there are more than a few people who say they weren't impressed by Jonah at he Rifftrax show who were won over by him in the episode. Things like this are great to hear.

If there's a specific, known date already, then my guess of one of the last 3 Friday's in March is probably accurate.
Odds are still favorite for March 31. If they're not announcing the date until after the last premiere event, it would give them enough time between then and the end of March to advertise it.
Edit: MST3K posted a photo of a box containing episode 1101, and per the file name, it looks like the episode finalized (or "went gold") on Feb 9. But since this isn't a standard length month, March 10 isn't a possibility. It's also only 90 minutes, which seems oddly disappointing...

I know there are NDAs and all, but I am very curious if 1101 made efforts to reference the season 10 finale and explain how we got to where we are in season 11 (i.e. Mentions of Mike, Gypsy's ConGypsCo, how the bots got from the sub level basement to Jonah).

If Joel gave a date last night, it was before we were in the theater. It took a while for everyone to finally get admitted and when we finally sat down, Joel was already talking and the actors who were there were with him.

I was in before Joel came out, and there was no date given during the show, at all.
