My beliefs are so weird that I may scare you. I believe in both evolution and creation. I don't believe that everything came from one atom, and I don't believe everything living evolved from fish. However, the theories of evolution, human-wise, make sense. Everything makes sense in the chain, except "the missing link". I believe that there was no missing link, and God boosted the intelligence of the ape creatures. I also believe that everything in the Bible can be broken down into meaning. For example, God put Adam into a deep sleep (operation time) and took one of Adam's ribs and made Eve (I don't think that God threw Adam's rib onto the ground and poof, there's Eve, I believe that DNA was extracted from Adam's rib) Also, God is in fact more than one being. In the old testiemnt, it clerly reads: "we created man in our image." "In our image" to me means that though we are much like God, we are still not the same, so there comes in my hybrid monkey/angel theories. Also, angels, that were jealous of humans, called humans monkeys. Something to consider. I look at evolution and the Bible probably different than anyone else. The Bible's written in metaphor, and Evolution theories are only half correct. That's just me, now leave me alone. I think the universe had divine guidence. There are a near infinate amount of parallel universes, each with different laws of pysics. For instance, in one universe, the force of gravity may be infinitessimally stronger and life couldn't evolve. In fact, the mere fact that our universe is the way it is is a one in an infinty.

Cool! Another person with weird beliefs like me! But seriously, I hate talking about religion, because you always make yourself look dumb. This universe is so big, and we are so small. Because of this, I say ANY theory is ambiguous. The human race is so much younger than the rest of the universe. There can be freakin' aliens hovering above Earth, saying to themslves: "what are these assholes up to now? he-he." And on top of that there are nearly an infinite amount of parallel universes.

Okay, sure Men In Black and Men In Black 2 are totally stupid films. I can't stand those movies, their unfunny and just plain wrong. HOWEVER, at the end of eac movie, they state a good point, when it shows our enitre universe inside of a marble that an alien is playing jax with. Do I think aliens play jax with universes? OF COURSE NOT. However, the whole point is, our universe may not be a big as we think. It's huge to us, I mean it's HUGE! However, we have no idea what is beyond the universe. If you ask me, there has to be SOMETHING beyond the universe, because there can't be nothing. What would nothing be? What could it look like. If God made the universe, who made God? And why can't Rhino make decent DVD transfers?! Think about how long we will have to wait to travel the galaxy. Civilizations are divided into Type 1, 2 and 3. Guess which one we are? Type 0. Type 1 is climate control and mining deep in Earth's crust, Type 2 is mastery of the Solar System, and type 3 is mastery over whole galaxies. Type 3 is possible, but we may never reach it unless we merge into a Super-Nation. Mankind also makes the mistake in thinking that it will last forever. Wether by a nuclear winter or the end of the universe (unless we can escape into 6 th dimensional space) we will die out. Maybe that is the real revalation. God letting the good people into the 6 th dimensional universe and letting the rest die in the Big Crunch (so hot it will be like Hell.)

I understand what you're getting at. But be careful- some of us make a living at talking about religion.
And I think I've put in enough years of study and life experience to be able to talk about it from an informed perspective.
That's not to say I don't often look dumb.
Just not usually when I'm talking about religion.

Well, when you talk about things that you believe in, but to others it may seem far-fetched, then to that person they think you're an idiot. I think people who believe in psychics are idiots, but to them, they truly believe in their heart that there are psychics. BTW, sampo, were you aware that jealous angels called humans "monkeys"? I think it depends on how you talk about it. But I know what you mean. And I'm not familiar with the "monkeys" quote.

Well, I first heard it in the film Prophecy. It was a line given to Christopher Walken, and I had no idea about its authenticity, but then one night, I watched this show, you know the show with that brilliant old guy that studies religion, and he was reading into things about angels and their jealousy aganst humans. And the jealous angels would always refer to humans as monkeys. That sparked my interest. That guy woudl make all kinds of theories. He got kicked off of many stations because he said: "Wouldn't it make sense if a future Pope turned out to be the anti-Christ?" You gotta think about this. It would make sense wouldn't it? The Bible speaks of the anti-Christ being a great man for a few years, and he would do many great things for the world, but in a few years, he would show his true colors. It also says in the Bible that the anti-Christ will have no regard for women. Some experts say that this means that the anti-Christ may be homosexual, however, it doesn't directly say that the anti-Christ is gay, but that he has no regard for women. The Pope has no regard for sexuality with women does he? I DONT think that John Paul is the anti-Christ, I was talking of a future Pope. I forget the guys name (the brilliant old guy) but his speeches, though rather dull, were interesting. Plus I don't think that he brought forth the seven horsemen of the apocolypse.
