I've been listening to every original recipe episode in order at work on my MP3 player with the MP3 rips I did of all of them, and I might have found another reference in 403-City Limits, if it counts. It might not count since it's only a Billy Preston mention, but I see he gets a mention in the listing for Laserblast. Anyway, here it is. Use it or not.
When Kim's character is offering aid to the Clippers, right after Joel's "Indiana Jones and the Temple of Goons" riff, one of the characters says "Lady, no one gives nothin' for nothin'" and Tom says "Except Billy Preston".

Hey teen gang, it's been a while but I thought I'd check in and share a few thoughts. Blog updates? Bridget & MJs Married Too Young and the Mads The Brain Eaters - to sum up the write-ups... they are funny, they are recommended (see, now that was easier than clicking a link) So, next March will be Mighty Jack's 20th anniversary, and I've been thinking how I should celebrate that. How do others celebrate their Blog or website anniversaries? Well, it looks like they often post a list of their most read or liked posts. But a review site is a different animal, and I don't have the blog open for comments. Plus, with all the moves, I only have stats from 2014 on. Regardless, out of curiosity I did look to see how a Top 10 would shape up. Putting aside the Index pages, which are always going to get the most attention. 1. Mighty Jacks Top 50 and 2. Mighty Jacks Top 100+ in list form These are easy to see, you get a quick thumbnail peak at what I think is the best, anyone looking for viewing suggestions would naturally seek these out (which sounds egotistical, sorry). Or they could just be curious as to where I slotted things. 3. The Violent Years Now this one interests me, because it's not only the most read individual episode page, but most read by double the next one down. Why has this caught peoples eyes? Maybe due to fans re-examining M&TBs reaction to that guy being attacked by the girls? In this modern age, people are disturbed by it and maybe they are wondering what I have to say about it? They probably aren't happy with me because I still think it's a hoot - is it in poor taste, sure, and things like that are not funny in a real world context, but within the realm of comedy... the bots being who they are, Ed Wood being Ed Wood, in that context, I still laugh I did add to the review that I'm into bad taste - cancer boy in Brain Candy, a lot of offensive stuff in Bunuel films, Alice Cooper singing about necrophilia... I'm just a bad, bad person it seems. I'd ask Torgo how his stats have fared on his review, but he hasn't done that one yet. 4. Zombie Nightmare 5. Indestructible Man 6. Overdrawn at the Memory Bank Indestructible Man is a curious one. The other two are popular episodes in general, but Indestructible is one of those kind of forgotten experiments. Neither here nor there, neither universally reviled or loved. I wonder why readers are reading that one? 7. The Film Crew page For something that's not had a release seen since 2006 this is an odd ball. You could owe a bit of a jump for when Rifftrax released them in 2016, and the highest spike was in April 30, 2020, so maybe fans looking for something during lockdown? It also received 16 views on 7/31/2021 - people are still taking a peak at this long defunct project. 8. The Giant Gila Monster 9. The Mads Livestreams 10. I Accuse My Parents Now Parents makes sense, it's a biggie, a popular episode. The Mads was just put up a few months ago, so to see it jump into the Top was a surprise. Of my newer posts. "Current Rifftrax Favorites" came in a 15, under that (but not ranked on bloggers all-time stats, so I don't know how they rank overall) is season 12, season 11, and the Bridget & Mary Jo Page.

Violent Years is going to be one of my final ten. When the new season premieres, I'm going to do a countdown of my last ten reviews just before the next episode hits, so I wouldn't expect that for a few months. Normally I get 30 views per post though, though if an episode is pretty popular it can hit much higher than that.
Last time I checked my largest reviews were the Rifftrax reviews of Star Trek V and Star Wars: Revenge of the Sith, which both got around 500 views. I have absolutely no explanation for that except maybe the Trek and Wars fanbase cross contaminated with my normal traffic.

Well that sounds fun, I'll look forward to that.
For my numbers, I sometimes wonder if it's robots cruising the site? Looking over the all-time stats, during my retirement stage, it was still getting healthy views. I'm thinking, who the heck was doing all that reading? I know of two people who have told me they continued to check it out (after watching an ep, or before?) so a handful, fine, but hundreds and even thousands at times...
?
Anyway... 20 years, maybe I need to come up with 20 somethings - or maybe a collection of first (if I can remember them - I believe my first review was for The Brain That Wouldn't Die - and I think the body of that original write-up still stands from when I was just doing brief paragraphs on Web TV.)

For the record, MJ, your blog is my go-to for checking on episode numbers and info.

The info side of it, more than the opinion parts, makes sense. Visiting it as a resource, that I can wrap my mind around.

Just checked my numbers for the first time in maybe over a year. Last time I checked my most viewed MST3K page was Horror of Party Beach, which had 270 at the time. Right now it's Final Sacrifice at 302. I bet a lot of people checked that review, got pissed, then never came back. Just wait until I post my review of Pod People!
Star Trek V is still my #1. Revenge of the Sith is still my #2. #3 is my Cinematic Titanic review of Santa Claus Conquers the Martians, of all things. Fourth is the Reefer Madness audio commentary for some reason. Then Rifftraxes of Jurassic Park and Jaws, then my ICWXP Bride of the Gorilla review (yikes. I was not kind there). Then the xXx Rifftrax, Final Sacrifice, and #10 is Return of the Jedi Rifftrax.
Final Sacrifice is the only MST page in my top 10.

Curious that there's only 1 MST in your top 10, and Reefer was that the first release or the re-do(s)?
So I worked on a page tonight, for next March 2022. You can't see it yet, but it's a trip down memory lane. Much of it was posted here already, some of it is new, all organized, with pictures and screengrabs of the MJs Yahoo page, the original Rifftrax page, and others. I speak to my first review and my last (of the original MST3K).
Then I thought about this forum in its glory days. I looked up some old members - Nerdgroupie sure liked to post pictures, and I'm glad she did, as you can see Matt and Elise, a photo of the Minnesota get-together with others, like Godo and Dave Walker. So many accounts have been deleted, Blurryeye, Ratso... I wonder where they all are now, are they happy? I hope so.
I've never been to a High School reunion, never wanted to. But an MST Discussion Board reunion, that I'd attend.

Reefer was the colorized DVD that had Mike's solo commentary.
I think a lot of these where when I first started sharing these on the Revival League Facebook group. I got huge traffic on some of my Rifftrax reviews there. Then I took a hiatus and the traffic didn't get nearly as high after that. Final Sacrifice is an outlier, because that's probably the one post on that list that wasn't made during that period. I think that one might just be a go-to review for lookie-loos.

* Blog Update: The second episode of the Mary Jo Pehl Show streamed last week, and here's my brief overview... MJ Reads From Her Diary* And now a SPOILER ALERT! (I don't think so, but some folks are twitchy about this stuff, so look away if you have no interest in film speculation for the next season, otherwise, click to your hearts content) {Spoiler}Hello there? Okay, they showed some props in the recent update. Now, look at the book... and look at this screengrab... Are we getting Beyond Atlantis? If you've not seen it, it's a 1973 film which stars several riffed on actors, like George Nader and John Ashley, in addition to smilin' Sid Haig. Also John Wayne's son, Patrick is in it. So, sweet cast, bad movie with buggy eyed natives.

I finally updated the MST on DVD page. I didn't bother with listing classic era episodes that were released on BD because I was lazy, and didn't want to do the research. But if you want to know about them, what was released, etc, Torgo has a page on those at his Blog, and it's chock full o' researched info. And yes, for old times sake, for the fun of revisiting an old tradition, I'm donning a Halloween costume this month.

Not MST related, but since we've done some Beatles talk here I'm going to say my rests in peace to Lizzie Bravo, who died a few days back, at age 70. She, along with her friend Gayleen Pease, who died in late June, also at age 70, sang on a version of The Beatles, "Across The Universe". What a wild thing, to be a teenager, hanging out at Abbey Road to catch a glimpse of the band, only to be asked in to sing a tune with them? bestclassicbands.com/lizzie-bravo-beatles-obituary-teenager-10-5-21/
