What level was the beta for the Gizmoplex, or is it random?

Jackie Neyman Jones hinted on Facebook that she’ll be a guest on Friday’s Manos screening. That doesn’t seem like a big surprise.

They had an open call for Beta testers you could sign up for if you were a backer. I apparently got in fairly early on the sign-up. From the sound of things, I think they'll be opening up the Beta test to most (or all, I guess) backers sooner or later.

From Ivan, less than a day ago...
"We’ve now invited everyone who volunteered for the beta test, and are starting with backers who didn’t volunteer tomorrow. Apologies for the unclear communication on my part!"

I volunteered and never got the invite. Oh well, I’m in no big rush.

I got an invite yesterday. Haven't had the time to set it up yet. Have to register a second account, link it to your existing account. And its not mobile friendly yet, so I'd have to boot up the laptop.

soo hmmm I've been having a bit of inner conflict, I guess I must be a relic of the past myself wanting a bit of my childhood back with probably the most influential show that has helped mold my personality, humor, language etc.
I feel like (even though I haven't been super active here) that I have a extended family of mst3k peeps and I thank you all for participating and giving each of your insights and thoughts about the show.
Now the reason I am posting here is that I saw the first episode of season 13 through a friend... and honestly it's not bad but its not great either, and yes I know its still rough they are working on it, but I feel like maybe I'm just not cut out for Nu-MST3K.
Part of me wanted the old MST3K back with Mike and the rest but I knew that wasn't happening. I was hoping that Joel would go back to more of the old school feel of the show but the sheen of "The Return" really turned me off and I donated, not a large amount mind you but I wanted to give back from all the years they gave me happiness and fun.
anyways thats all I suppose, I'll keep checking back hoping it gets better cause I do want MST3K to flourish and reach a wider audience but in my mind I thought it would be different.

You might like those better since it's the cast and humor of those people that you enjoy.

I've known about and own several RT's for years now that's not it, I just wanted a more enjoyable (imo) MST3K experience is all, and again if others enjoy this new iteration thats cool, I just felt like voicing my opinion on the new season is all.

“To see the new season, visitors will be able to buy tickets to livestream events ($10 each), rent the new episodes ($8 each), or get a 'Season Pass' ($135) that includes tickets to over 25 livestream events and a digital copy of the new season to keep!
Plus, to celebrate the launch of the Gizmoplex, all visitors will be able to stream every available classic episode of MST3K for free – on demand and without commercials – for a limited time! The Gizmoplex will be available via a web portal and also on a wide variety of OTT platforms, including apps for both iOS and Android devices, Roku, Amazon Fire TV, and more.”
details on price options for those without gizmoplex subscriptions.. and a teaser announcement for free viewing of episodes without ads for a limited time.

This seems like a big value add, from today's update:
Starting on MAY 6, all registered Gizmoplex users will be able to stream EVERY AVAILABLE CLASSIC EPISODE – that's over 125 episodes from Seasons 1-10 – for free, and without ads! Yeah, you heard us: even if you don't have a Gizmoplex Member Pass, you'll be able to stream the entire MST3K classic collection for free, and – for a limited time – without advertising!
We've been hoping to announce this since before the Kickstarter, but needed to wait until we were 100% sure we could work out all of the details… and now we have!
Also: if you're a fan of our 24/7 channels, like Twitch and PlutoTV, don't worry: none of our linear streaming channels are going away. We're not trying to remove options for watching MST3K. We're just adding a better option, where you can see every episode on demand.
That makes it sound like the ads will just be for people who aren't members. Most of the classic episodes streaming add-free would be awesome, since I largely avoid Twitch/Pluto/YouTube due to ads.

Summer Pass sounds like an attractive deal for new folks.. 7 new episodes, 4 shorts, access to all the livestream events, and free streaming of all the old episodes until July 31st.
All for 50 bucks.

This is a nice move, and good for them. But...what is the point of the Vault Picks each month, then?
