Sorry I missed this. #5 isn't Jim Backus. Couple more responses and the hints will come flying. #5 looks like the weird love child of Jim Backus, Robert Vaughn, and Karl Malden. I don't think it's him, but since he was in Teenage Caveman, how about Robert Vaughn?

I couldn't make it either, but I've got my ticket for the repeat. However, these reviews are lessening my excitement somewhat. Then again, Torgo doesn't like anything that doesn't have Godzilla or the Joker in it. Then again, Godzilla vs. the Joker is something I could get behind.

Okay- second guess on #2, with a little help from imdb: Terry from Giant Spider Invasion?

Man, I love these. I will try my best, but I will definitely be checking back into the thread while the contest runs. It's my kind of quiz!
Is #2 Michelle from Girl in Gold Boots?

Daenerys is getting so boring. All her story lines were, actually, though I always wanted to know what happened with her, if she'll ever take her damn dragons to Westeros already. Maybe with Tyrion there, the Mereen story will get more interesting. And, I know, realistically, training can take quite some time, but I wish Arya's story would speed up a bit.. This. Times two. Dany's and Arya's storylines completely bored me in the last 2 books, and caused me to pretty much lose interest in the series. In the books, Dany just goes from one city to the next, failing at everything, with uninteresting characters doing nothing around her. And Tyrion's subplot with Penny and the plague was just tedious, accomplishing nothing (see also Quentyn Martell's pointless journey). So now the show has caught up and there's nothing but wheel-spinning. Here's hoping the rest of the season can advance the plot somewhere.

In honor of their election to the R&R Hall of Fame, one of my favorite Chicago tracks. Such a great sound on this one. Very Joe Walsh/James Gang guitar playing with some Joe Cocker flavor. And then the horns and harmonies come in. Good times.

I've been using the Gold/Black theme since 2003. I guess I remember that the other themes exist, but I just blindly assume everyone sees the forums the same way I do.

EDIT: Just a double-check - if any participants want to take another look at the final order, I'm trying to figure out if it's actually a tie or if sol-survivor won by tiebreaker. The percentages are the same, and they're both ranked first. The asterisk indicates that a tiebreaker was used, which to me would indicate sol-survivor won, since her name is listed first in the finishing order. Any thoughts from anyone? I wondered the same thing. I have no idea what the tiebreaker procedure is, but I'm happy to finish in a tie. I have all of the eps, so I'm also glad to step aside from the skyroniter prize pool and let sol-survivor have unfettered access to the booty.

I'm in.
I haven't been paying even a little attention this season, so I have no idea why I picked who I picked.
Should be fun!

The rule of thumb around here has always been, "If it was okay for the show, it's okay for the board." We're not prudes and we don't have to abide by FCC regulations, but it's the spirit of the thing. So let your soul be your pilot, but aim for PG-13. Dickweed.

I'm with Phantom on this one. With all of my musical loves and studies, I never really looked very hard into Bowie. I knew his '80s hits and "Under Pressure", but that was about it. It's not that I didn't like his music, I just never really pursued it or gave it a chance. But I was always very aware of his work. So much of the music I enjoy orbits around his influence, so someday I might just have to become a fan.
After his death, I saw a ton of comments out there about Labyrinth, but nothing about his performance as Tesla in The Prestige. It was quite impressive. He could have been a real actor had the rock god business not worked out for him.

I was a huge fan of the show. It's really frustrating that Netflix doesn't have all the episodes; and that some episodes are missing key scenes/plot points because of music rights. I always loved the episodes with Sam's or Al's families, and I remember the original airing of the JFK two-parter being a HUGE deal in our house.
