Recently adopted because I just moved to the south side of greater Chicago. If physical presence doesn't allow me adopt a team fairly, then I don't know what else does. I'm sure that it does, but it's more fun to give you a hard time. The hatred for me runs deep, I understand. So. 14 innings. I watched them all. I'm sleepy. And after that fake home run by the Astros AND Dye getting hit by a pitch but not put on base, I hope people STOP saying that the White Sox are here because of luck as much as anything else. Those were two chances that the Astros should have turned to their favor (the homer even tied the game for them rather than let us win in regulation), but they didn't. 10-1 in the post-season is NOT all because of helpful calls.

Man, I never had a chance. I had my episodes already picked out and all. Story of my life. Congratulations to the White Sox.

Congrats to the White Sox and everything, but these two need to get a room. Wow.

Congrats to the White Sox and everything, but these two need to get a room. Wow. COUPLE OF THE YEAR!!! Chicago had no problems whatsoever during the celebrations last night. SIU Carbondale, however, had an incident. (That's my alma mater!!)

Well, I didn't want to see the Astros get swept, but I'm not complaining. The Chicago White Sox have finally silenced all doubters. I'm a bit tired of the sportswriters saying that "nobody saw it coming." No, none of you star-struck, hype-spewing Yankee-Red Sox-Cardinal-loving writers saw it coming, that's all. It was clear to me that they were the best team in baseball every time I saw them play during the season, and every game of the postseason. I saw it coming, and now I've won 2 DVDs of my favorite show because of it. Ah, sweet victory!

Congrats to the White Sox, and Blurry. I never made a pick for this, but, like I said with the Red Sox last year, the White Sox had to prove it to me and they did. I'd rather have seen the Cubs win, but given the current state of affairs, it'll be a while yet before that happens.

For picking an amazing 6 out of 7 series winners, Blurryeyewing is the prognosticator extraordinaire.
Of course, she waited until some games had been played before posting her picks, but still...
6 out of 7.
Congrats to Wingyeye.

Still, her only loss was the Yankees, whom she picked even though they lost their first game, so good on her. Still, I'd say that waiting for the results of the first game of three series isn't cool. What makes this double worse is that I've been dying to see "Teenage Strangler" for years now and then the other night I finally caught it on Nofadz but I turned it off, figuring that I should wait until I got my skyroniter special!!! I could kick myself now. In fact, I could strangle myself.

Yeah. I'm just giving her a hard time...
She won it fair and square.

I sincerely hope that no one had to go the Loop today, Friday.
You'll probably see it on the national news. The White Sox had a party. You literally could not move in the Loop. I was down there for the Bears in '85, but that was nothing compared to today.
