We've done this the last few years, so we'll do it again this year. Who's gonna stop us? You? Ha.
I was going to make this a contest with points being added up and prizes given. But seeing as how the first game starts in, oh, 3 minutes, that wouldn't be very fair.
So just for fun, who is going to win each series?
NL: Rockies at Phillies Cubs at Diamondbacks
AL: Angels at Red Sox Yankees at Indians
What do you, the viewers at home, think?
My picks: Rockies over Phillies Cubs over Diamondbacks Red Sox over Angels Yankees over Indians
Cubs over Rockies Yankees over Red Sox
Cubs over Yankees
(It'll never happen, but I'm a delusional Cub fan. Laugh if you must.)

Not the easiest of choices. But I'll go with:
Rockies over Phillies (the Rockies are on fire) Cubs over Diamondbacks (Cubs are pretty warm themselves) Angels over Red Sox Indians over Yankees (I can't stand the AL East)
Rockies over Cubs Indians over Angels
Indians over Rockies
I wish the Twins were in it so I could just root for them and be done with it. Since they're not, though, I'll stick with the AL Central to the end.

NLDS -- Phillies over Rockies NLDS -- Cubs over Diamondbacks
NLCS -- Cubs over Phillies
------------------------------------------
ALCS -- Red Sox over Angels ALCS -- Indians over Yankees
ALCS -- Red Sox over Indians
------------------------------------------
World Series -- Cubs over Red Sox
As much as it pains me (as a big Tribe fan), I don't think the Indians can get past both Boston & New York. Boston has the best team money can buy and the Indians don't. Contrary to the group think among sports writers, the Indians will torch Yankees. Yes, torch Yankees. 6-0 in the regular season, be damned...
The Chicago Cubs will win their first World Series in 99 years.

Hope I'm not too late this time, I saw there was the Phillies-Rockies game started earlier today but I SWEAR I don't know the results of it, or even if it's finished.
Phillies over Rockies Cubs over Diamondbacks Phillies over Cubs
Angels over Red Sox Indians over Yankees Indians over Angels
Indians over Phillies

A bit later, but no matter.
Being the homer that I am, naturally I picked for the Red Sox and against the Yankees. That's working out so far.
As for the NL, it's a quagmire. The Rockies and Dbacks are easy to cheer for, but I've always had a fondness for the Cubs. In the end, I figured the Rockies were on a roll and would take out the Phils, they of 10,000 plus losses, and went with the Cubs over the Dbacks.
Ultimately:
Rocks over Phils Cubs over Dbacks Sox over Angels Indians over Yankees
Sox over Indians Cubs over Rocks
Sox over Cubs

I wonder how many experts predicted Arizona-Colorado in the NLCS at the start of the season.

I wonder how many experts predicted Arizona-Colorado in the NLCS at the start of the season. If anyone had that much foresight, America would need them working in the intelligence gathering field -- not predicting sports.

I wonder how many experts predicted Arizona-Colorado in the NLCS at the start of the season. I don't know, but I'll bet a lot of people could have predicted "the Cubs will win the Central with 85 wins, then get swept in the first round" storyline. Boo. Still, GO ROCKIES!

The NL winner is just about decided {as if the Rockies can be stopped}, that just leaves the AL division.
The Yankees don't have a chance as they can't play outside of Yankee stadium. Well, not "play", the word I mean is "hit" and it's just absolutely cruel that the Inidans saved Sabathia just so he could pitch both times in Cleveland. I don't expect a sweep but neither did Cleveland. Joe Torre must be rolling over in his soon to be grave.
As for the Angels/Red Sox, the Sox will try to win in Anaheim with Schilling but he's old and so far this has been a young pitchers series for everyone. Beckett in game four should finish it off though.
Red Sox and Cleveland? I'm not sure but I will have to lean towards Cleveland as the Red Sox hitting has been pretty spotty against good pitching. Bad pitching too but that's another issue.
And finally AL over NL.

Guess what, everyone?
That's right, I'm going to the Rockies game tonight! My friend just called and said he has an extra ticket.
As a Cub fan first, and a Rockies fan second, it'll be my pleasure to tell the Diamondbacks to EAT IT!
Go Rockies! I'll post pictures tomorrow.

My two World Series teams are still alive. And as much as I like to support the AL Central, I'm finding it hard to root against the Rockies. What an incredible run.
