My condolences, Mr. Atari. Thanks. But it was a good ride. The Rockies earned the right to be there. They just didn't have the better team this year.

Although I don't care about sports at all, I'm glad the Red Sox won... cause I'm from Boston.

I've said it before, despite all the naysayers, and the fact that I'm from South Dakota, and that automatically makes people from my hometown think they have to like the closest pro sports team, but screw that. SOX WIN BABY, A SWEEEP!!! WHOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO!!! So eat it.

After all that, best team in baseball, probably the best team in football and maybe the best team in basketball (we'll see) -- it's still Boston Mass. Rats, rats & more rats and underlying racism. Stay classy Boston.

Boo. Was hoping for a Rockies rally to the very end. At least Red Sox fans have forever lost that annoying right to whine about how they're always turned away year after year. That is now exclusively the right of Cubs fans

My cap is off to the Rox for what they did to get where they did. I would have preferred a more competitive series, but I'm not going to bitch about a championship. Hopefully the Rox won't suffer the same next year hangover that the Indians did last year. Up and coming teams seem to have that problem sometimes - though I realize the Indians didn't get as far as the Rox so it may be moot. Much like the Indians this year though, the Rox will be back. The core of good, young players will only get better.

Stay classy in your disdain of the city and team. I'm sorry but the 'eat it' comment above really put me off. I picture streets full of young 20 something's screaming about "THAAA SOWWWX". Yeesh. My whole thing is, act like you've been there before -- ESPECIALLY WHEN YOU HAVE. As Al Czervik would say 'cheer up, will ya?'

I cheer my teams passionately and get very cheesed when they lose. Specifically this year... my Buckeyes lost two National Championships in two sports to the same f-ing school and all I hear is about how Florida owns Ohio, etc, etc, etc. Their fans treated ours like crap, down at the Final Four (suprise). My whole thing is, act like you've been there before -- ESPECIALLY WHEN YOU HAVE. As Al Czervik would say 'cheer up, will ya?' Fair enough, despite the shots you took. I don't condone that comment. I've been a Sox fan for over twenty years and have been waiting a long time to win. Now that we have won twice in such a short period of time, I'd like Sox fans to keep their (formerly) decent name.

I'm happy for lifelong fans of any team that finally gets over the hump. I'm well aware of the Red Sox history... I remember a time when I still thought of the Cubs & Red Sox in the same breath (despite Red Sox penants in '67, '75, & '86). So I know there has been some purgatory there, for sure. (Truthfully, part of my bad attitude about Boston is sour grapes over my Indians blowing a 3-1 lead).

As Al Czervik would say 'cheer up, will ya?' Okay. All territorialism aside, that might be the best line of this whole thread. I will now have Rodney in my head whenever fans riot in the streets.
