This should be a self-explanatory thread.
In case it's not, tell us what you've just been listening to (album, song, CD, MP3, radio, whatever), if you liked it or not, and why.
...The White Album.
I've spent a lot of time on Rubber Soul, Revolver, and Abbey Road in the last year. So much time that I was getting burned out on the Beatles. Then I popped this in and it took me to a whole new place. Glass Onion is such a great song.

I am currently grooving to Zenyata Mondata by the Police. One of the best albums start to finish. Except for that Camel song. Bombs Away is my favorite by far because of the great guitar at the end of the song.

Glass Onion is such a great song. I'm not a Beatles fan at all, but I will concede how much I like Glass Onion. For me, I broke out a four disc set of Fleetwood Mac I got about five years ago for my work commute. Spent some time with Second Hand News, Gypsy, Paper Doll, and several others I never bothered to learn the names of. Good stuff, I must say. I think seeing them live last year helped renew my interest in a big way.

Great album. I especially like 'Driven To Tears'. BTW, it's Zenyatta Mondatta. LOL, poopie. I knew that, too. Right now, I've popped in some classic Pink FLoyd. DSOTM is still spectacular. It's all one long song. An experience. One of the best ever recorded.

I've been getting back into some classic Led Zeppelin. The first album is still really awesome, even after all these years.

A while ago, I was partially listen to Gwen Stefani's new album. Now, before reading my thoughts on it, please realize that at this stage of my life, I am pure happiness and sugar wrapped up in a chocolately shell, much like Gwen herself (except my happiness is more cynical). That being said, I liked some of the songs. The most girly and hyperish. Gwen is very good at releasing good singles, and thus I which I had downloaded the fourish songs I really enjoy. The rest aren't bad, I just can't get into them. Maybe that girl that sits a across from me in French will, but I have a weirder taste.
Sorry for the sporadic review and the possible misuse of the word 'sporadic'.

I've been revisiting my youth, back when I lived in the pacific northwest.
The ones who made it big: Nirvana ("Incesticide" -the first half at least)
The ones who almost did: The Gits (Just when it looked like they were on the verge of hitting it nationally, Mia was murdered in the streets of Seattle)
The ones who should have and didn't: The Fastbacks, Seaweed
It's making me feel very sad and old. Time moves on, a new generation takes over and your left behind - Old, fat and irrelevant. Pretty soon your dead and then as each year passes, more and more of "you" is forgotten until all that's left is a name etched on a tombstone.
But it was a good, fun run while it lasted. "sigh". Maybe I'll listen to "Green River" next. Those were the days...

Just finished listening to Hall and Oates, H2O, drunk.
Well, I guess you have to drive an old Trans Am and pound it loudly to understand what I'm getting at....
It's great,
You're out of touch, I'm out of time, But I'm out of my head when you're not around...
Oh yeah, some of you know where I'm coming from....
I guess...

"Out of Touch" isn't on H2O. It's on Big Bam Boom (1984). H20 was two years earlier and had hits like "Maneater", "Family Man", and "One on One". And no, I'm not embarrassed to know that.

Joy Division's "Substance." Got it for Christmas.
Ian Curtis was The Man. His lyrics are hauntingly beautiful and you can hear the pain in his voice. (Not surprising he killed himself, poor bastard.)
Just a great band.

Just a terrific combination of classics ("Helter Skelter," "While My Guitar Gently Weeps," "Revolution," etc.) and charming throwaways ("Rocky Raccoon," "I Will," "Bungalow Bill," etc.). My fav Beatles album of all-time.

The new Scorpions album, Unbreakable. My wife got it for me for X-mas. We recently saw them live (with Tesla opening-Tesla is one of my all time favorite Hard Rock bands) and as usual they put on a great show, but I was very impressed with the new songs they played so I asked for the album.
I have to say it is really VERY good! Best album they've put out since at least 1988. Good to hear them going back to their classic sound which is what all of us fans have been wanting them to do for years. Great stuff!

And, no, you shouldn't be embarassed to know that.
