Yes, I would bury that where no one could find it.

I hate to bump this, but I've been trying to research more into it and am hitting dead end. I KNOW that the artist who worked with Joel and Trace on the reboot concept back in ~2010-2013 posted online the concept art and a summary of what the show with Bill would've been like. But I CANNOT for the life of me find it online anymore. Its like its been scrubbed off the internet. The one thing I've been able to find is this image, attached, a collage by a fan on Twitter. The bottom right image of Hader on the bridge is his edit, but the rest is all from the original artist. The new robot's name is Rodney, apparently. If anyone else has any recollection of this, or knows who the artists was, let me know. Attachments:

Is there anywhere to still see your guys's Gamera vs Jiger riff or download it? I know it's not on YouTube but is it available to be uploaded to Archive.orh or anywhere else? I especially want to rewatch it to compare to the season 13 version. I remember laughing A LOT at yours, vs being stone-faced for most of the official riff.

Maybe they were going to do a pledge drive on Shout Factory's website also to help raise money but it just launched way way too late?
Maybe this is their plan to help have other partners give them money. Shout Factory just passively raises money for a few months and then they use that as a supplement to even more fundraising?

One thing I've seen brought up is that they're not making new fans. Season 13 being Gizmoplex-exclusive did it no favors - if your first exposure to it is Turkey Day alongside The Beatniks and Prince of Space it's not going to come off well. A fair point. I didn't watch, but I can't imagine the whiplash of going from watching Prince of Space straight to Doctor Mordrid.

The thing I don't understand is the disconnect between what Joel said in many many interviews, that he was done if the fans didn't want to fund it kind of gloom, and then there's the peppy "we're not giving up" can-do attitude from the end of the campaign.
Clearly the campaign update and epilogue were written by someone other than Joel, but I still don't understand why he, in public-facing interviews was so doom and gloom.
Did he think it would motivate people? Is he basically 100% checked out at this point and Matt is the only person even trying? That has to be very frustrating for Matt if the public figurehead is out there undercutting what you're trying to do.

I think they would've been better served by being up-front and blunt about that.
"We're flat busted. Help us keep the lights on and fund another season."
It wouldn't have inspired confidence, necessarily, but it would've put a fire under more people. Maybe some sympathy money.

I recently did a YouTube scrub through to see what I can find of Night After Night. Not a lot, only a few full episodes including the last one. Bunch of small misc clips. What I can find is pretty darn funny. Especially anything with Nick Bakay and their weatherman.
It has a real anarchic, early 80s David Letterman feel to it.
It's a real shame that Comedy Central unceremoniously canceled it in 92. Apparently, Alan Havey and the Night After Night format was one of Lorne Michaels' early considerations for David Letterman's replacement on NBC before he settled on Conan O'Brien.
Now there's a bit of alternate history what-if for you...

Did Humanoid Woman get blocked? I don't see it under the high quality playlist anymore. It did. Same with Hangar 18.

i still maintain the big killer of this campaign was expanding the budget so much with no real explanation instead of finding ways to streamline. It didn't matter how many cartwheels he had the cast doing or how many updates he put out. That unobtainable goal was just demoralizing. On these fundraisers, easier goals yields more backers wanting to get in a on the deal I think this was a very big factor, yes. If they'd funded something at the 2-2.3 million mark, people would've piled in to collect something that was at that point GUARANTEED. And it wouldn't have looked so bleak to get to 3-4 million for more.

I can't wait until they come back in 2 to 6 months with (hopefully) a bunch of changes that everyone has been clamoring for, and the Positive Vibes Only crowd will endlessly fawn over Joel for making all of these wise decisions that they've currently been deriding everyone about asking for.

but there were fans out there that were specifically pissed that Jonah was getting replaced. Really? I actually liked Jonah a good bit (thought Crow was pretty good, was lukewarm on Tom), but he did like half a CC era season. Who cares. ... But wait, there's now apparently people that will be up in arms if Emily and muppet-crow don't come back. Joel has made a complete mess of all this. That's a no-win situation. And its probably a reason they didn't indicate who the cast would be, even outside of the strike. You don't win no matter who hosts now, unless you do both. And even then, there's a THIRD group of people that don't want another split season, regardless of who the hosts are.

A more consistent, polished, stripped down Season 11 would be KILLER. Give me 13 episodes of Cry Wilderness, Avalanche, Beast of Hollow Mountain & Land That Time Forgot (but streamlined and the rough edges sanded out) and you'd have a very happy fanbase.
Season 13 was halfway there, but poor, boring riff writing and bad production on-the-whole felt like they took a big step backwards. And they didn't seem to understand that.

One silver lining is that the continued support for this campaign, and the show, may have opened up some new conversations about potential partnerships and fundraising that could be key in getting the show another season. Good luck. But if they're fundraising, again, the attrition is going to be rough. So I hope whatever partnerships come with their own sources of funding, in addition to whatever they can mooch off fans. See you all again in 2-6 months!
