I might look into it at some point. It seemed a bit too much like it was gonna be "Pushing Daisies, but not charming." If I'm wrong on that, though, I'll look into it.

Also, Rhett & Link are up to shenanigans again.

Saw that yesterday. I like their cross-promotion with the other channel.

Well, I watched the first episode last night. The only really bad thing I can think to say about him is that he's not Craig Ferguson, and that's not really his fault. (And I'm grateful that it wasn't really awkward and slow like Seth Meyers' first night as a late night talkshow host was.) I especially liked the fact that it seemed to have a focus on musical stuff.
I dunno. Too soon to say for sure, of course, but I think he's off to a good start. I don't really watch much Late Night TV, but he may reel me in the way that Craig did.

Nice! Glad to see that Geoff Peterson is still teaming up with him in spirit.

I said it ten years ago and I'll say it again, I'd totally buy a "We're all out of toner!" t-shirt if someone made one. I'm... tempted to do that.

Does Fury have all the resources of S.H.I.E.L.D. at his disposal? If so, I'd say there's no contest.

If we're talking performers, I wouldn't want to pick. Too many good choices and too few slots. (Seriously, with just one more face it'd get easier, I think.)
However, if we're talking characters it becomes much, much easier. Joel, Mike, Servo, and Crow. In fact, I'd argue that becomes *too* easy. Same thing if we limit it to certain factions of characters (like, if you just go with The Mads then you only have to leave two people out, if you limit it to bots you have exactly the right number since Magic Voice is never seen, etc.)
What I'm saying is that I want my version of Mt. Rushmore to just be all the different versions of Cambot.

Arguably, the entire Let's Play industry. If "constant yelling and swearing" can equate to "riffing." (Yes, yes, I know Let's Play isn't just that, especially when it's done in text form, but wow is it hard to avoid sometimes...) There's actually a YouTube group called "retsupurae" that used to make fun of really, really bad let's players in a MST-esque manner. They rarely make fun of YouTube let's plays these days and now they mostly riff on weird/bad video games (played from beginning to end, generally by other people doing it for them), awful flash games from this trash dump of a site called Newgrounds and pitch videos from failed (and sometimes successful) video game themed Kickstarters. Nifty. I don't think I'd enjoy watching it myself (for some reason, making fun of big name products always feels less mean-spirited than making fun of more home-made things like most Youtubers or Flash game makers), but I can definitely get the appeal.

See I'd just rather kill people on the high seas and take their stuff. Sadly, it's Talk Like A Pirate Day, not Act Like A Pirate Day. They're not the same day.

In the ten-plus years of Sloane's spammy posts, this conversation is still one of my favorites. So straightforward. Innocent, almost. Sorry. Like ash, I had to get that out of my system. Heh... "We're all out of toner!"

I'm trying to remember... was it Invasion Of The Neptune Men where the kids would occasionally run two or three normal but unrelated thoughts together?
I don't know if ridiculous is the right word, but Johnny Longbow listing soup ingredients in Track Of The Moon Beast is certainly... ponderous if nothing else.

Oh, wow. I hadn't heard that. That's sad. :-(
But, yeah, I think the Internet, being what it is, took some of the choices he made and sort of twisted the facts about to make them seem worse. I admit I don't know all the details, but that's the general sense I've gotten.

Yeah. His books pulled off the difficult trick of going from being comic parodies to being biting insights into our own world. And he could turn a phrase like no one else.
I'm actually just starting to read Raising Steam. Started last week, haven't gotten very far yet sadly.
