Hey guys I'm new, of course. I just bought my copy of volume 10 yesterday at Circuit City and it was only 39.99. Thats pretty nice considering some of you had to pay 49.99 in store. The other volumes they had were only 34.99, too. I think I'll be checking out this DDD, though.
I've only watched through the spider ep, so far. I'd be suprised if none of my neighbors woke up from me laughing at the scenes with "The Skipper" and the NASA guy in them. ("Thoughtful or hungry, you decide...")

One thing about DDD to consider is that twice a year (once in the summer, once in the late fall), they have a massive 20% off sale. If you're not in a hurry to get the sets, you may want to wait to take advantage of them; during the last sale, I got Vol 8 and 9 for under $60.

I was watching part of The Gaint Spider Invasion when I noticed that the music playing when the globe is shown is from the Comedy Central era. Was it like this on the broadcast or is this a real mistake?

Remember when someone said that Best Buy wouldn't sell MST3K DVDs anymore? Well, my local BB just got a bunch of copies of volume 10, so I guess this isn't the case.

IIRC it occurs at exactly 1:16 on Godzilla To be more specific, it's at 01:15:59 (00:01:16 is fine). It's not an MPEG-2 glitch as on a damaged DVD. I agree that it looks like the master tape is decaying. It's only 9 rainbow-dotted frames with a slight *skitch* sound. Nothing too bad. Though, considering this and 603 -- I worry about BBI's tape archives. I'm concerned about BBI's archives too, but I think the problem with GvsM is just the tape BBI used for the movie was crappy. And the defects didn't show up as much in normal broadcast-quality.
