From Satellite News:
Our source at Rhino informs us that it has lost the rights to all four films featured on The Mystery Science Theater 3000 Collection: Volume 1 ("Catalina Caper," "The Creeping Terror," "Bloodlust" and "The Sky Divers"), and will, in March, lose the rights to "The Sidehackers," featured in The Mystery Science Theater 3000 Collection: Volume 3.
So, if you haven't bought 'em yet, scoop 'em up now.
Our source also says they are working on what to do about the two other movies on Volume 3, "The Unearthly" and "The Atomic Brain" (the fourth disc in that set is a shorts collection). Stay tuned.

Holy Cwap! I feel sorry for the people who don't have these sets!
>>Our source also says they are working on what to do about the two other movies on Volume 3, "The Unearthly" and "The Atomic Brain"<<
Hopefully not put them on the next set!

>>Our source also says they are working on what to do about the two other movies on Volume 3, "The Unearthly" and "The Atomic Brain"<< Hopefully not put them on the next set! Hopefully they'll either a) release them as individual episodes, or b) release them together as "Essentials 2" (though I doubt many fans would consider either of those two episodes "essential"). Anything besides creating a new collection with those two episodes, plus two that have never been released would be fine with me.

^ I'm with you. I'll be ordering it on Saturday, so I won't have to worry. I wonder how Rhino will deal with the fact that 3 disks from Volume 3 Rhino retains the rights to.

I have an idea...why don't they RENEW their ownership of these movies?
I mean, who would want to actually OWN these movies beside Rhino?

How do you lose the bidding war for a coleman francis film? Did the Rhino people use the buck and a quarter to buy a coke? Also, I think bloodlusts bidding war should be the bidders be dropped on an island while a fat Brit tries to hunt them down. Last man standing wins the rights.

I got these volumes months ago, so there's nothing for me to be concerned about...but dang, I'd better quit dragging my feet on purchasing Volume 5. Who knows what they could lose next?
